This is my first attempt at freeform peyote.  I cabochoned around a coin from Malaysia and made this reversible pendant adding some freeform peyote.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Mania - Bag from Crochet me on: June 19, 2007 02:22:15 PM
Hi all,
I finished my first crocheted bag.
I'm happy with the results although this bag is more for fall or winter, so I'm going to wait until then to use it and show off my work.  The pattern is from "Crochet me" and it's very easy to follow.  The picture from crochet me shows a smaller bag I don't know why.  I started yesterday afternoon, and finished it a few hours ago.  It took me about 3 to four hours approximately.  Due to the nature of the yarn "Big" from Lion Brand, this project goes very quickly.  The best part is that I got the yarn from a dollar store.  I only used two hanks instead of three that the pattern calls for and some of my black scrap yarn.
Your comments will be very much appreciated.

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby blanket from Family Circle Magazine on: May 30, 2007 04:47:43 AM

I finally finished this baby blanket.  My first project from the last issue I bought from Family Circle Magazine.  It was easy and fast, but putting all the squares together was boring and I kept on putting it off until finally I gave it to my aunt to do it for me.  I love the middle square.  It was a little complicated for me since I am not an expert on crochet, but it was fun.  Question, do I have to block it? or should I just leave like that?  As you can see, it is a little on the thin side.
Comments will be appreciated.

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Crocheted Jewelry on: May 09, 2007 03:12:06 PM
This is my first attempt to crocheted jewelry.  I used washers to make them.  I'm really happy with the results.
I got the idea from a Crocheted Jewelry book.

The bracelet in this set is a little too big, but I'll correct it  next time

This is my work in process:

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help with Moda Dea's free pattern on: March 01, 2007 09:05:10 AM
Hi all,
I go some yarn at the dollar store near my house.  It's Cartwheel from Moda Dea, so I decided to work an this free pattern from their website.  http://www.modadea.com/patterns/LM0173.htm
I checked the gauge and it seemed to be correct.  However, I'm not sure if it will turn out OK because I chose to make in size medium according to the finished dimensions given.  Unfortunately, it looks way to big.  Could it be that the yarn I got has not an even spinning?  some parts are really thin and some are thicker.  Has anybody tried to work on this pattern?  Any suggestions?  I'm afraid that if I do the small version, it would be way to small for me to wear it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Family Circle Easy Crochet Magazine Spring 2007 on: February 08, 2007 06:11:46 AM
Has anyone seen Family Circle Easy Crochet Magazine Spring 2007?.  I love it.  I got it last night and has so many cute patterns that I want to try.  I am not too experience in crocheting, but are they as easy as they rate them?  Is any one interested in trying the boxy cardigan?  I want to try that, but using Homespun from Lionbrand since they are of the same weight, Bulky 5 and I have tons of them in purple too.
