2  Teeny Tiny Animal Crackers Box Handbag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by TreatyofParis on: August 07, 2006 05:58:24 PM
This is a very small handbag I made a while back out of an animal crackers box. I used the same fabric to make the strap and to line the inside, and the outside is laminated with clear packing tape for extra durability (or as much durability as cardboard can be expected to have.) The box is deconstructed and re-vamped to be more purse-like (i.e.: the folded sides and top flap) and I spent about forever trying to figure out a suitable way to keep it closed. The best thing I could come up with was a ponytail elastic sewn into the top flap and a button sewn to the main part of the purse so that the elastic could be hooked onto the button.
All in all, this is probably the most impractical  handbag I've ever seen. It doesn't hold more than a cell phone, lip gloss, and your ID; so I guess it's mostly for show, but I thought it was fun.

3  Dog Sweater! in Knitting: Completed Projects by TreatyofParis on: July 20, 2006 08:07:04 PM
**7/27/06 - Update: Finally learned my lesson about trying to link to pictures hosted at Deviant Art; picture is now hosted by Craftster, and should work**

While waiting on specially ordered yarn for a bigger project, I decided to do a something small and quick in the meantime to busy my eager little fingers.
The yarn is a wool and cotton blend in white with sparkles.
The pattern is an adaptation of Penny by Corinne Niessner from Knitty.com.
Modeled by Pocky.
