Fortunately it's A. a rental and B. something that happens frequently enough that the owners installed a sump pump. It doesn't usually get this bad but it's been a really rainy week and the floating switch thingy on the sump pump got stuck and the basement filled up with a few inches of water while I was out running errands today. Let me tell you, I will be so excited when the time comes to move!

So Alby got to see something that he probably doesn't get to experience in California. He seemed less than thrilled. But I have better ideas for the next few months. It should be fun!

This is a little late, but here's Alby in my flooded basement for the Weather Challenge. Yay, fun times.

Alby helped me in the garden today. We planted two kinds of peas. We were also going to plant potatoes but the nursery was all out.



He wanted to help turn over the soil but he had some trouble with the garden fork.

Ooh! I love it!

The weather has been so lovely that Mr. CT and I dusted off our little weber and grilled some pizza. Alby helped out and he would like to submit the following pictures, taken from my backyard, to this weeks Home Challenge.







The last photo is Alby in our apple tree. The little guy certainly loves climbing trees, just like his wild relatives.

Here's a few photos from Alby's trip to Old Gray Cemetery this afternoon. It's the second oldest cemetery in Knoxville and it's full of amazing statues and monuments and flowering trees.

I'll donate a point to the inflation fund.

Wow! It's so fun to see all the adventures Franklin has been having!

Alby has been having a very relaxing time so far just hanging out at home with me. I did take him out in the backyard to show him the spring flowers and he learned how to climb trees.
