I carved the birds and feathers by hand. The lace, stripes, dots, and clouds are all done with underglaze brushed over paper stencils.

Did you use paper stencils for all of them?

did you spray, brush or dab the under glaze over the stencils?

It could be because you're using plaster of paris. How are you planning to use the mold? Polymer clay, pottery clay, slip casting? If you're going to use it for ceramics, I recommend pottery plaster because it has a specific absorption rate that works really well with clay.
