Wow!  That's a lot of squares!  I checked out the image size and your looking at 200 x 267.  That's 53,400 squares!!

You might want to think about simplifying it, or choosing just a portion of it.

Here's a 20x20 section of just Link, to give you an idea of the scale.

182  2 artist's books in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by cinnamon teal on: March 01, 2007 09:49:51 PM
I took a couple artist's books classes a few years ago and these two books are some of my favorite things I made.  These ones are pretty much all handmade - the butterflies from the first are originally from a calendar, but they have been significantly altered.

I have a description of each on my blog and a bunch of pics of them on my site, so here are just a couple details from them:

I'd love to know what you think!

**note to mods: I posted this same thing over in paper crafts and book making, but I think that maybe it fits better here.  I won't mind if you take the other one down.  Thanks!**

184  Scarf for my hubby. in Knitting: Completed Projects by cinnamon teal on: February 21, 2007 07:08:01 PM
I made my hubby a modified Danica scarf from Knitty.  I basically just made it 2x as wide as the pattern calls for and then I sewed the sides and ends closed so that you don't see the back of the enterlac.  You can see more pics on my blog.

185  Re: Recipe Book Swap Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by cinnamon teal on: February 20, 2007 05:50:57 PM
Woo-hoo!  I received today!  The fabulous Polkaroo sent me this lovely package: (sorry for the flash.  It's getting dark Tongue)

She made me a great book with recipes organized by season and also a super cute instant shopping list with marble magnets.

And check out the detail on the tree she made for the cover.

She sent me the most yummy sounding recipes.  I can't wait to try them!!  The Earl Grey poached pears sound heavenly and I know my hubby is going to love the gingerbread biscotti.

Thanks so much Polkaroo!! Cheesy

Here's the mug and shot glass that I made for my BIL.  His nickname is overkill, so I went with an a-bomb theme.

I just finished a knit bracelet for my MIL.  It was my first time making knit jewelry and oy!  it was so much harder than I thought it would be  But I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.  The hardest part was making it the right size.  I used up all my copper wire on attempts that turned out much too big, so the final has steel wire instead.  It was much stiffer and tougher to knit, but I like the color much better, so I think that in the end it was a good thing.

What do you think?

*update, bracelet #2 finished for my mom.  It's pretty much the same as this first one.

188  Re: Eeek! Save me! a.k.a. I made a boo boo and now I need your opinion. in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by cinnamon teal on: December 17, 2006 10:45:55 PM
Thanks for all the responses!!  After reading through them I decided to go with the plaid because the only flannel that I had was the animal pattern, the plaid and a blue one with frogs and ducks (Sorry, no penguins Smiley).  So plaid it is.  I also added some of the plaid to the cuffs and the waist band, so that it looks more integrated.

What do you think?

Here's the jammies I made for my little bro.  I messed up making them, as you can see here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=139217.msg1367811#msg1367811, so I added the plaid side panels and then to bring in the color, I added the plaid to the cuffs and also on the inside of the waist band.  I used the same pattern that I used for the ones above, but made them smaller and again I added a snap to the fly.
