Hi all you fabulous ATC makers!

I've been doing daily drawings on and off for a while now.  The last few weeks or so I've been doing birds (pics on my blog for anyone interested).  After seeing your lovely creations around here, I've decided to take the plunge and go mini.

162  pocket board in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by cinnamon teal on: March 22, 2007 07:15:40 PM
I've had this bulletin board forever and it needed a bit of love.

So with a bit of inspiration from Shim and Sons, I turned it into this.

What do you think?

ps. more info on my blog for anyone interested

163  Re: Sketches on brown paper in More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions by cinnamon teal on: March 20, 2007 09:37:04 PM
In 2003 I kept a brown sketchbook for my classes.  Most of it is notes, ideas and working things out, but here's a truck I did using a burgundy gelly roll pen.

What do you think?

164  My first ever sweater. in Knitting: Completed Projects by cinnamon teal on: March 15, 2007 07:40:51 PM
I started this in September, but just finished it last night.  It's a modified version of a cropped cardigan from knit 1.

I'd love to know what you think - constructive criticism is definitely welcomed.

(woah, all of a sudden I'm feeling super self conscious about posting pics. Embarrassed  Well, here goes nothing.)

165  Some more birdy drawlings in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by cinnamon teal on: March 12, 2007 10:29:46 PM
This past week I drew birds from some of my Dad's photos.  He's really into bird watching.  Anyways, I kinda like how some of these look a little goofy.

167  Re: trying to make a quilt from pixels in Quilting: Discussion and Questions by cinnamon teal on: March 04, 2007 05:18:17 PM
Wow!  That's a lot of squares!  I checked out the image size and your looking at 200 x 267.  That's 53,400 squares!!

You might want to think about simplifying it, or choosing just a portion of it.

Here's a 20x20 section of just Link, to give you an idea of the scale.

168  2 artist's books in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by cinnamon teal on: March 01, 2007 09:49:51 PM
I took a couple artist's books classes a few years ago and these two books are some of my favorite things I made.  These ones are pretty much all handmade - the butterflies from the first are originally from a calendar, but they have been significantly altered.

I have a description of each on my blog and a bunch of pics of them on my site, so here are just a couple details from them:

I'd love to know what you think!

**note to mods: I posted this same thing over in paper crafts and book making, but I think that maybe it fits better here.  I won't mind if you take the other one down.  Thanks!**

170  Scarf for my hubby. in Knitting: Completed Projects by cinnamon teal on: February 21, 2007 07:08:01 PM
I made my hubby a modified Danica scarf from Knitty.  I basically just made it 2x as wide as the pattern calls for and then I sewed the sides and ends closed so that you don't see the back of the enterlac.  You can see more pics on my blog.
