Ok so for halloween I want to be Pocahontas (from the Disney movie) because I looove that movie...anyways I think I can probably figure out the dress...its pretty simple but I don't know what to make the necklace out of...I could make the white part out of polymer clay but does anyone have any ideas for the blue part?






If any of you have seen the movie the part where her necklace breaks you can kind of see that its a bunch of square -ish beads (sorry I can't find a picture of it) - but I have no idea how to do that??  

I guess I could do polymer clay but I don't know if i could get the shapes right?

I'm kind of leaning toward the second or third ones because they're bigger and could fit more 'treats' in them...anyone have any suggestions?

I'm thinking of buying a serger sometime during the summer - I want to try making clothes etc. What would you guys recommend? I was looking at the one in the Sears catalogue - it's a Kenmore; 349.99.  Is Kenmore a good brand? I don't want to buy one that breaks all the time etc.  Theres also a store near where I live that has a lot of Janome stuff; they have more choices than the Sears catalouge.  Does anyone have any recommendations for me?

Ok so for mothers day my idea was to make a dozen different kinds of flowers - like one of duct tape or w/e, some different types of fabric ones, maybe tissue paper or sculpey clay or crochet (I can sortof crochet) etc. and then stick them in a vase or soemthing that she could put..somewhere. Is that a dumb idea? also, does anyone have any links for flower tutorials / ideas that I could use? I have a few:

I don't even know if I'll end up doing this - do you think theyd all look tacky together? And how would I attach stems / what would I make the stems out of? I guess I could use those long toothpick type thingies for shish kabobs..anyways any advice or input would be great

I'm sorry if purses, bags, wallets is the wrong spot to put this but its the closest I think - a case / cozy is sortof like a bag? anyway my cousin wants me to make him a fishing reel case thing that goes over the reel when its on the actual fishing rod and then goes over the handle and drawstrings over the part of the reel thing where it attaches to the rod...sorry if that doesnt make sense lol...heres sort of a picture:

and yeah..then it would drawstring around the part where the reel attaches to the fishing rod...any ideas how i could make this? or anyone who has made one differently?

Me and my friends are having a "dessert date" during the next few weeks...dont know the exact date.  But well just make a gazillion desserts (cakes, cookies, etc.) and eat them all heheh. but does anyone have any REALLY good dessert recipes? Ive seen some on craftster here but i think we need more

does any one know how i would go about making a wrist strap for my camera? it came with a neck strap which i dont like..its really long    does anyone have any ideas?

Ok so I saw this bag on the internet (west49 I think) and so Im going to attempt it - does anyone have any tips etc.? this is the only picture they had of it so I dont know if the strap is attached / where etc. but I was thinking of attaching it like just behind the zipper so the top part just goes over the zipper and the bottom comes around - does that make sense? Im not very good at explaining lol...but ya instead of the clip they have which I dont own I was going to use .. here ill draw a picture: kind of like that? and the thinner lines are the strap. sorry If you dont understand what I'm talking about - but does anyone know of any tutorials I could use to make the actual bag part?

ok. pretty much the topic asks the question lol where could i get carded wool or w/e? i want to try making felted soap (I found a link somewhere on crafster - colour amonth craftalong i think -it looks relatively easy: http://www.mielkesfarm.com/felt_soap.htm    and it says you need carded wool)

so could i get it at like walmart or somthing? or is tehre other stuff I could use from walmart / michaels?
