1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: More Kanzashi silks on: August 05, 2009 03:21:14 PM
These are beautiful!
Do you know of any websites or have any advice for those of us who'd like to try to make something like this? I did a quick search and didn't see anything that looked much like yours at all.
2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: I give my heart to you on: August 05, 2009 02:17:00 PM
That is darling and really well done!
I wouldn't usually wear hearts, but would make an exception for this. Smiley
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Octopus - wall hanging or ginormous necklace ? on: August 05, 2009 02:14:07 PM
That really is beautiful!
I don't think I'd wear it super often as a necklace- it seems like a special occasion kind of thing for me, but definitely think it works either way. Do what dancedupaillon said and make it so she can be used either way!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Pop art inspired high waisted skirt on: August 01, 2009 07:53:17 PM
Every time I see this I just get more and more jealous. One, because you have the patience and talent to do all of that and two, because you've got to have the coolest skirt ever to wear.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Re-Used Fashion (photo hefty) on: August 01, 2009 07:47:09 PM
These are great! Smiley
I love how different they all are and how they don't actually look like they're made out of recyclables. Good job!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: plaid cotton blouse with poofy sleeves on: August 01, 2009 07:40:47 PM
I love the whole thing. The poofy sleeves, the fake belt and gathering... it all works together in a wonderful way.
Share your sewing skills with me? Cheesy

Nice choice on the title, that's my favorite Ingrid Michelson song!

And those pleats are lovely!
8  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: New vans! Image heavy on: November 29, 2008 05:59:29 PM
Scrub a lot?

I usually toss my vans in the wash when they're starting to look a little dirty (hm, maybe I'm a little ocd? Tongue) and they come out sparkling. Obviously you don't want to do that with these in case the modge podge doesn't hold up, but soaking the bottoms in some water with a bit of laundry detergent might help.
9  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Brigadeiros - traditional brazilian sweets on: October 25, 2008 11:55:55 AM
Oh goodness!

A couple of my Brazilian friends made Brigadeiros one time- except they didn't roll it into balls, they just ate it from the bowl. Smiley I'll have to try making it like this.
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Elephant Army on: October 10, 2008 03:07:54 PM
These are adorable! Did you use your own pattern?

My vote goes to with eyes, but small plain black ones, nothing fancy. Embroidered eyes would be darling too.
