1  Mini-Monkey Brains in Dessert by oy vey on: September 18, 2008 02:57:28 PM
I went searching for a cinnamon roll recipe this morning, and found a Sticky Monkey Brain recipe. I'd never heard of Monkey Brains before, but I thought the kids would enjoy partaking in such a delicacy without the risk of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies. Smiley

3 packages refrigerated biscuit dough
1/3 c white sugar
2 ts ground cinnamon
1/2 melted butter
1/2 brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350 F/156 C.

Mix together the white sugar and cinnamon, set that aside. Cut up the biscuits into smallish pieces.

Roll the pieces of dough in the cinnamon sugar mixture, then smoosh them into the mini bundt pans.

Mix together the butter and brown sugar, then spoon the mixture over the dough. To make it easier on yourself, put all the mini bundt plans onto a cookie sheet and then stick 'em in the oven.

Bake for twenty minutes.

Enjoy!

The original recipe called for pecans as well, but I'm not a fan, so I skipped those. The recipe will work if you use one large bundt pan, six medium sized ones or a dozen super mini ones (I took this route).

All of them together, I didn't quite expect them to explode like they did.

A macro shot, because they're my favorite. Smiley

The nice, ready to eat shot.
