1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Healthy Recipes that have good leftovers? on: July 26, 2008 03:37:42 PM
www.allrecipes.com
This is my go-to site for recipes.  It has nutritional content.  A lot of the stuff isn't very good for you, BUT since it has the nutritional content, you have a much better idea of what you are eating.

In an attempt to eat out less often (it's making me poor and chubby - two things I dislike!), I'm looking for meals I can make on the weekends or a couple nights a week. I'm sure there are things that save well or can be jazzed up pretty easily throughout the week.

Does anyone know of any places that categorize recipes like this?

Hi, I'm having a food club gathering with the theme of foods that start with B. I'm having a hard time finding a recipe I want to make.

Do you have a recipe that is awesome and starts with B? I'm kind of looking for an appetizerish dish so it's easy to put on a plate and eat while chatting.

So far people are making Bulgoki (sp?), brownies, bangers and mash and something with bacon.

Thanks
3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: HELP Taco Seasoning Recipes on: July 20, 2008 04:39:23 AM
This is the recipe I use for tacos
http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/1132/Chipotle-Taco-Filling111631.shtml
BUT if you just want the seasoning, I know www.allrecipes.com has a few recipes.  Just type in taco seasonings in the search.  If you haven't heard of this site, it is recipes submitted by people reviewed by real people.  It is my go-to recipe site.

So me and my DH LOVE LOVE LOVE tacos. It's a weekly meal in our home. Thing is, I'm starting to question the cost of the seasoning... Yah, we buy the pre-packed Taco Time seasoning at 1.39 a pack, for maybe 2 tbsps of powder!!!!!!!! Insane, when I know that people season it themselves, and at a MUCH lower price than that!!!

So, long story short, I would LOVE anybody's recipes for seasoning.

Thanks a BAJILLION!!!

Thank you Smiley

I really like the color and the backspash.  It will look great when you add in your retro appliances!

My hubby and I decided to tackle our kitchen during our vacation in June.  We painted and tiled our backsplash. I am so proud of us for finishing it, but we have decided that next time, we hire someone! lol (Sorry guys, I suck at posting pics...if Craftster would link to flickr we would be set Cheesy )

Now I just need to buy some nice retro appliances (toaster, blender etc), although it is a basement apartment so we won't be spending too much money for down there!

Yeah, Dewey allow more room for creativity. One person talked about making T-shirts for us that said "Just Dewey It"

I work at a library.  This year my coworker and myself decided to go as superheros.  She is the Super Librarian and I am the Dewey Defender.

I made all of my costume (up later than planned last night finishing it).  I just wanted to include her costume so you could get the idea.  I got sick of people asking me who I was, so I finally taped that onto my back.
