Hey everyone! I received Package #3 from tcha345 yesterday and it is awesome! Here's everything;

A cool hat that I was wearing all around yesterday:


A flattened penny, because we both collect them:

I collect mugs, so she sent me an awesome one:

I just received package #1 from tcha345! It's pretty nice to get presents after Christmas. So here's everything...

Favorite cereal (something edible), Scrabble (favorite board game), and hot cocoa (winter essential):


Green tissue box (favorite color), notebook with circles (pattern):


Chapstick, mini-lint roller, and breath freshener (things always in her purse):
 

Fish applique (fav. animal) and origami fishy and paper (something made out of paper):


A doily made by her Nana (something sentimental), and The DaVinci Code (fav. book):

 

I'm definitely already enjoying the cereal haha:

30   So...600 Squares Later.... A Lap Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by euphemasaurus on: March 06, 2009 12:44:19 PM
So my friend's birthday is coming up soon and this year I decided to try and make her a lap quilt. She really likes bright colors, so I chose a bunch of reds, yellows, oranges, pinks, and whites. I was thinking of Starburst parctically the whole time I was sewing. I cut the fabrics up into 2 inch squares, and used over 600 of them. Anyway, here it is:





It ended up as 45 inches by 35 inches, and is a little wonky in places, but I still think it's cute. Here's close ups of some of the fabrics I used:





And here's all the ties on the back, done in a light pink embroidery thread:
