2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Combining knits with woven fabric tips?? PLEAAAASEEEEEEEEEEE! on: July 31, 2007 04:55:44 AM
I really want to combine woven and knit fabrics.

Some examples of shirts I like where they're combined can be found here:

Any advice would be VERY appreciated!!!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / A real Ruffle Kerfuffle on: April 05, 2007 10:11:00 PM
I know how to make a piece of fabric ruffle.  However, when I want to add ruffles to a tank or a t-shirt, I'm not sure if I should be starting with a crescent moon shape to ruffle, a rectangle or something else to get it to sit right so the actual edges poking out of the sleeves or tank straps is ruffly.  Any advice?

Pretty please!!!!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Which comes first... the chicken or the hood?? on: October 29, 2006 07:11:04 PM
I absolutely love these hoodie designs but am a bit confused as to how she creates the neckline binding and edges on her hoodies. They don't seem to be one continuous piece of binding. So do you know if she attaches the hood or neckline first? Please help!!! See here:

5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / My fabric keeps curling when I'm trying to cut it..... on: September 24, 2006 04:08:34 AM
Should I use spray starch or something to help it lie flat? WHat do you do?

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Cute neckline question/help needed on: August 25, 2006 02:31:39 AM
I had a go at the Simple Ties tute tutorial here:
http://community.livejournal.com/t_shirt_surgery/4274364.html

I love the ruched and tie look, but I had serious problems sewing up the hole after I cut it so that it was neat and didn't show.

Any tips?

Thanks in advance!
