2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Tutorial: Making a Yo-Yo Necklace on: January 14, 2010 04:12:48 PM

Thanks so much for your tutorial.

However, I'm finding that my yos are not coming out perfectly circular or matching even though I've purchased the clover yo-yo makers, I am frustrated to say that I'm still having getting all yo-yos to be smooth and even.

I'm using a brocade fabric so maybe it has something to do with the slipperiness of it or I'm not shaping them correctly.

Also, when using the knot method to tie them together, they keep flipping around, i.e one's facing front and the next one back. They don't stay in one direction.

If you could give me any tips on why this could be happening I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks so much in advance for your time,

Laya from down under..

Is that plain felt you've stitched it onto?

This is inspirational.  I love the addition of the beads.  Can't believe you're just a beginner.  Thank you for posting!

They so remind me of my 9th birthday party in 1984.  It took place at an awesome skating rink that no longer exists.  Love the laces too!

Another reason this tute ROCKS is that sometimes the shank buttons in the kits (in Australia()are the fugliest colors instead of siliver and don't match the shirt.

I can't tell you how appreciative I am of this tute.

Hooray for the kindness of strangers.......... ..........
