301  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Bobbles and bows coin purse on: July 21, 2006 09:32:13 PM
This is my second post and (though crochet is my first love) my first post of a crochet project.  So anyway, my friend is getting married tomorrow and she's headed to Las Vegas for her honeymoon.  She talked about wanting something small to carry a little money, etc. instead of lugging around a big purse.  Today, I whipped together this little purse.  I was going to do all single crochet and embellish it with a flower or something, but I got bored and went BOBBLE CRAZY.  Add a row of mesh through which to thread a ribbon, a simple lining, and a zipper, and you have my little hot pink creation.

Thanks, all!  My crafty co-worker comes up with the cutest ideas for the kids to do.  I can't believe I get paid to put stuff like this together.  I <3 my job!

What a fun idea!  So simple, but very cute.  How do you attach them at the bottom?  Knots?

Love the curtains!  The brown on the bottom sets them off so well--and like everyone else said, your living room looks so nice.

I've been lurking around here for some time.  I'm more of a crocheter, but since I've been here you've all inspired me to branch out into other crafts.  I made this last night and thought "What the hey?  I'll post it!"  So here's my bug rug.

I work in the children's department of a library, and my coworker asked me to help her make a sample for our weekly craft class (she gets to teach it  Sad).  We started with a carpet sample, used potatoes to stamp bug shapes in acrylic paint, added some legs and antennae, and brushed on the centipede and VOILA--a creepy, crawly bug rug!  Excuse the dirty library carpet.
