That is fantastic. The level of detail and the care you took with all of the handsewing really paid off Smiley.

That turned out really great. I wish my mom had let me use the sewing machine when I was her age. I bet she'll be a really fabulous designer here in the next few years.

The flowers are a really nice detail. And they look like they'd be really warm and comfortable as well.
4  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: [TUTORIAL] DIY Removable Shoe..... Wings! on: August 15, 2012 11:18:27 AM
This is a seriously cool idea. Great job Smiley
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Sleeve mods- thoughts? on: August 15, 2012 11:07:15 AM
I agree with the other posters: it's a cute look but not appropriate for a more formal office environment. Perhaps you could experiement with 3/4 sleeve shirts? Or perhaps some other method of shortening up the sleeves so it still looks professional?

Of course if you work in a business casual environment or somewhere with a lax dress code then the sleeve mod should be just fine. You could make it a smidgen more formal by making sure the folds are really neat and crisp and the little tab thing is also as neat as possible (that might require ironing though). That still wouldn't work in a very dressy/professional environment though.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: $1 HORRIBLE Pink Lace Prom Dress Refashioned & also made a Purse on: July 21, 2012 02:16:58 AM
It looks soooo much better now! And the fit is fantastic.  The purse also makes a nice touch.

Great job. I typically prefer that method unless the shirt just needs to go in an inch or so. It takes forever and is more frusterating but the end result is worth it. You're right, your shirt looks like it was always intended to be in the smaller size. Smiley
8  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: Pink Suede to Fierce Studs on: July 21, 2012 01:59:14 AM
Those look great! It looks like they were always meant to be that color and have those studs. What kind of paint/sealers/etc did you use? It looks like the suede still has an interesting texture and I like how shiney the heel area is.

That's a really fun and creative idea. Also, your son is totally adorable Smiley

That is beautiful! And the action shots really show it off nicely. Great work!
