Hi all.  I'm a teacher and school is about to let out for the summer and I thought it would be fun to try to get a group together in Tampa.  That is, unless there already is one?  Would anybody be interested in trying to meet up once a week or something like that?  I crochet, but have been trying to learn how to knit.  Get back to me!  Thanks-

I just used the cheapest black fabric I could find. 

third purse i've made ever (the other two were the same pattern).  this one was for my mom before she went on a cruise.  thought it might look classy for fancy dinners.  hope you like it!

well, i put a lining in it, so it's not totally floppy, but it is a little bit.  it was my first time making a purse and also my first time sewing anything at all!

this may be boring, but i'd love it with an ivory ribbon or a dark brown/goldish color ribbon.  i think the really catchy thing about the shirt is how well you made it!

My brother got me the Happy Hooker book for a present a while back and so I used it to teach myself how to crochet.  I don't really know exactly what I'm doing, so I improvise a lot.  The result is that I made an In Bloom bag using the flower from the Garden Scarf instead of the loom flower for that pattern:



I also used the basic pattern of the Orange You Glad bag, but instead of doing it the way that the book tells you to, I just used black and white yarn at the same time to make this bag:



These are my first 2 purses (my first anything except scarves, actually).  I hope they don't look as amateurish as they are...

Oh! And any advice would be superwelcome!
