Yay!  Someone who can organize who is willing to!

What time frame are we looking at for signups?  *sorry this took me so long to respond to, I was down the the flu*

I will be finished with my first swap on Jan 19th so I can start organizing one then....looks like people are really interested!

Are people still interested in this?  I'm participating in my first swap now, but maybe sometime after that this would be a real option.

This is going to be such fun!  Can't wait to get a partner and get started!

Someone mentioned Urban Arts and Crafts...can't reccommend that more!
Heads up:  Urban Arts + Craft moved to north of the River, to the new Briarcliff Village area.  I haven't been up there...seems sooooo faaaar from Prairie Village!  Would love to hear about the new location if anyone goes to check it out.

I'm heading up there this weekend....I have to admit I'm a little upset that "Urban" Arts and Crafts would go suburban, but maybe they won't have lost their awesomeness.  I'll post a full report!
6  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Supplies and starting out. on: December 05, 2006 08:48:41 PM
Wow!  Thank you guys for your help!  I'm spending some time now exploring that site and I will be heading off to the store this weekend.  I really appreciate your suggestions and advice!
7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Supplies and starting out. on: December 03, 2006 09:11:40 PM
Hello everyone.  My name is Nicole (I tend to go by either Nickie or Kate...long story for another time.)  I am in a writer's group here and one of our members is active in a polymer clay guild.  I have been pestering her for some time now wanting to know how to get involved and how she does things.  I kind of feel like I have pestered her too much (she's a friend, but I don't want to be a pain, you know?) so I figured I would ask you knowledgable folks.

When first starting out with polymer clay, what would be a fair amount of money to spend?  I am going craft supply shopping right after Christmas and would like to have some idea of what I should set aside for my start-up supplies.

Thanks in advance for your assistance (and I apologize if this violates the FAQ.  I checked them, but didn't see anything specific to this.)

8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Apron Swap? on: August 27, 2006 08:35:59 PM
I love aprons.  I love swaps (though I've yet to participate in one here.)  Who else thinks an apron swap would rock?  I clearly can't organize one yet, but I'm curious to see what interest there is.
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Homemade Rugs on: August 27, 2006 08:31:18 PM
My bathroom is a very odd size and shape so I've given up on purchased rugs.  I'm attempting to make my own using some towels, some fabric, and some other bits.  Anyone have any suggestions before I get all crazy with the scissors?  Smiley
