1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Post Photos of Your Tattoos! on: March 05, 2009 05:14:19 PM

representing my love for sylvia plath & the bell jar on my shoulder, from "I listened to the old brag of my heart. I am. I am. I am." Also by Doug at Staircase (the letters aren't off kilter they just move around when I move my shoulder)

I love all your tattoos, but this one is amazing!

aww thanks! Often times this one is my favorite too (though most of the time I can't decide)

Alrighty here are my tattoos from oldest to newest. The first two I posted on the old board but they hadn't healed yet, so here are different pictures of them in their full glory.

for my 18th bday and has significance besides being pretty. It was done by Doug at Staircase in Santa Cruz, CA (surprisingly hard to get a picture of)

just done today! This is my college graduation present to myself, and the state flower of CA. I'm moving out of state for graduate school but at least I will always have this with me. It's all swollen and a little ink stained from earlier today. This one was done by Jessica at Staircase

I love so many of the pieces posted in this thread, I could hardly begin to name favorites!  Smiley

For a Christmas gift I made this little pouches for my friend Charlotte from this tutorial that I shrank down by 2 inches:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=22875

Alrighty first up is a little western number

and the inside:

Next we have a white one which I embroidered using the Tattoo Alphabet pattern by Sublime Stitching. My friend Charlotte loves New Kids of the Block, mostly Joey McIntire. So in this case the J is for Joey. Um and I am not incapable of using iron on transfer patterns *cough* *cough* er it would just be a topsy turvy world if this was the case.

the inside is lavender matryoshka dolls:

Finally, I made a coaster...or candle rest, or something out of some scrap fabric (my cat darla is sneaking into the picture). I was too lazy to measure the squares and it shows, but not to lazy to use interfacing to make it sturdy. I made another lined pouch out of the poodle fabric, but do not have any pictures of it since it was sent off in the mail before I remembered.

the back side:
enjoy!

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: The Cat Turtleneck Sweater on: October 26, 2008 03:54:41 PM

10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: B*tchin' Kitchen Towel NSFW(IMG HEAVY) on: October 06, 2008 09:10:20 PM
aw I love these! In general I'm not too much of a fan of the random vulgarity trend in needlework (though I seem to be all about in my everyday language) but I really love this! The stitching is perfect too  Smiley
