This is so cute!  I was looking for something cute to make today while I'm sitting at work with only 1 hook and 3 colors of yarn - thanks for saving  me from boredom!!  I hope mine turns out even half as cute as yours!!

I love the lightbulb shaped ones!   And the teeny tiny orange slices!  Those are so cool!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Ninja Pants!! on: November 22, 2007 04:33:00 PM
I do in my shop *cough cough* but I don't think I'm allowed to say that on craftster anymore.  It's been a while, maybe I should refresh myself on the rules....    If I'm right and shouldn't have said that then sorry Craftster!

I love that you want to make crazy ones.  I've made one pair of the most brightly ridiculous fabric ever once, they are my all time favorite.  But I can get away with wearing these colors to work  Grin

I realize I should've taken sweet ninja pose pics for this post, but everyone here is too full of turkey to withstand my dorkiness any longer...  anyway, here's my latest Ninja Pants.  I love them.  I've always thought the wider your pantlegs the better.  Plus they were still the most comfortable pants ever even after I stuffed myself full of turkey 3 times today!

hey look, blue too!

jessimocha-- Owly (I think?)  has instructions on her blog that are AWESOME.  It looks as though her way makes for much less bulky and overwhleming hair.  She has lots of patterns for sale too that look really well done.
I just took a bunch of lengths of yarn (twice as long as I wanted the hair to be), doubled them over and pulled the loop through a stitch, and pulled the ends through the loop.  Doing it this way makes a massive amount of yarn hair, so make the neck very strong!  I mean, neckless basically or the head will flop all over.   I was going to take pictures but my camera battery is dead.  Sorry  Embarrassed   If you need them let me know, I can take them tomorrow!

sara_dippity-- thanks for your concern Smiley I'm sure most people that I would make the dolls for already know I'm weird and appreciate my weirdness.  If I spend this much time making a doll for someone that doesn't appreciate it they better not ever think they're getting a random gift from me again!! lol
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: THE GENERIC BOYFRIEND GIFT THREAD: A How-To! on: October 14, 2007 06:20:40 PM
As a Marine wife I say... relax till you see orders!  Smiley   My husband has been a Marine for the last 13 yrs.  I've freaked out numerous times over a "[so-and-so] called and wouldn't leave a message, what's going on?  Please tell me you aren't going back AGAIN!"   Apparently some of his superiors won't leave messages with wives/gfs because we aren't issued by the Marine Corp. so who needs em?  Undecided

I hope your boy isn't going back again, but you will get through it!  I've been through it if you need a shoulder to cry on!

Belant  Cheesy  That is true!  I would include a card reading "The Narcissist Doll-- from the best person you know.  You love her, who doesn't?  Here's a doll of her so you can think of her always-just like she does"     ... or at least that was how I was thinking about the doll when I first made her. hehe

And then my friends and family would have me committed...

A few are going to be super fun in doll form, especially the ones with crazy hair.  I can't wait!

Thanks for all the nice comments!

Thanks for the replies!  I knew there had to be someone that didn't think I was weird, since my husband sure did!  I'll post the one of my son as soon as I give him feet, they are giving me trouble.

Owly I love your avatar... I've been wanting to buy that pattern all week!  I'm so bad at following a pattern though Sad
