1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Project Thoughts... on: December 29, 2006 05:56:54 PM
I just got this super-uber pretty wool handspun that's pretty thickish. The only problem is that I've only got 91 yds of it. Any thoughts on what I could do with it besides a hat? Right now, it's enough just to pet it but eventually I'll need to do something with it. Smiley

Here's what it looks like:

Thanks in advance!

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Holiday Panic? on: December 14, 2006 03:33:09 PM
With Hanukkah starting tomorrow night and Christmas around the corner, has anyone started freaking out yet? I'm starting to get there... It's not too bad, yet. Tongue
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Truffle Clutch Question on: November 19, 2006 10:30:08 AM
I'm making the Truffle Clutch from YARN Magazine ( http://www.yarnmagazine.com.au/v1%20sample/patterns/truffleclutch.html )

When they get to the lining part, they talk about using reinforcing material to give it some shape. Does anyone have any ideas about what to use as reinforcing material? Is this something they sell in stores or should I just cut some scrap cardboard that I have laying around?

Any ideas? Thanks!

I am trying to find an owl pattern to make Harry Potter style stuffed owls. I stumbled across the Two Sisters pattern but I was wondering if anyone else had any links or ideas to modify any other patterns. Thanks!
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First big project - Wavy Afgan on: August 03, 2006 07:19:18 PM
Hi guys! I've been lurking for awhile and have been impressed with all of your stuff. This is my first big project. I started working on it over Memorial Day weekend. It is about 60" tall and was 195 stitches across. It was Creative Knitting's Campus Bound Afgan (or something like that). I'd love any feedback that you have to share. Thanks!!
