1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / a fall quilt for summer on: June 16, 2010 06:53:26 PM

My second quilt this summer. It started off as a swap quilt from another now defunct web group. it is all cotton including the backing and is machine quilted.   It is about the size for a double bed.
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / A little bit Country on: June 06, 2010 08:28:14 AM
Somebody gave me this fabric and it might be even a little to country even for me.

This is my first completed quilt in about 3 years.

It is cotton on the front with flannel on the back and warm and natural batting.

It is machine stippled.

Enjoy!

3  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Unfinished Projects on: June 03, 2010 08:17:08 AM
I am so bad.  I like piecing and picking fabric and stuff.  But I hardly ever get to the quilting part of the project.  I have at least four tops pieced and about 6 more quilts where aall the blocks are done but they need to be assembled.

My goal for the summer is to get some of these finished.

Anybody else have trouble with follow through?

I decorated these frames for my daughters skating pictures.   I haven't shown them to her but I hope she will really like them.

They are just unfinished wood frames from Michaels painted and embellished!

8  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / Sew with a Plan Along on: May 01, 2007 09:14:11 PM
Here is a article talking about what I mean.
http://www.sew-whats-new.com/culshaw/wardrobe.shtml

The idea is you plan your wardrobe around a few prints and solids and Sew with that in mind.  You start with these 11 garments.
2 pairs of pants
2 skirts, one in a solid colour, one in a print or check
2 simple tops, one solid, one in the above print
4 tops, in colours which coordinate with the solids
1 simple cardigan jacket in a solid colour

Anybody up for it.

9  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Looking for opinions. on: August 17, 2006 08:32:57 PM
I have a TONNE of spare craft supplies (leftovers, scraps, I don't know what I would do with this) Sort of stuff.  I would like to start an etsy store and list some of them,.  But I would like to offer them in some unique way. Mostly talking about fabric, but some beads and some other just random stuff.

2 questions
1) Do you think that supplies/scraps would sell
2) Do you have any unique ways to package them?

10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / crafter toolkit -- I dunno on: August 17, 2006 12:30:21 PM
So I wanted a sort of wallet that I could take some of my tools of the trade with me.   I used inspiration from theWallet/Organizer Holder -- http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=16097.0

But I don't know it just doesn't seem as stiff as I wanted it.  I used interfacing but I am wondering if it is the type of fabric that I used.  Anybody have any comments.
