Ok a bit intimidated by all your awesome projects.   This is the first time I am posting a project on this site.  It is also one of the first purses I made.

It is made from a table cloth I picked up at a yardsale for $1.

I used a free Kwik Sew pattern for it.

344  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Nausea food? on: July 17, 2006 09:44:17 AM
When I was pg with my dd I would eat three graham crackers every hour or two.  That is all I could handle and the ginger in the graham crackers is supposed to help with nausea.

People also say ginger snaps work.

I kept trying to figure out where it's hot enough to need to go swimming in the summer, but still simultaneously cool enough that you need to wear a sweater as a cover-up ...

Well our beach is very much like that.  Here on Great Slave Lake in the NWT of Canada.  You don't feel cold till you get out of the water.

346  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: Danger on: July 16, 2006 03:26:24 PM
Could you get a plain old post office box just for swapping.  Then it is not linked to your actual address.

Your dad is right to be cautious but swapping is fun.

Did you use a pattern or come up with your own?

It is awesome.

348  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Crafty But Stupid: YOUR CRAFT RELATED INJURIES HERE! on: July 14, 2006 09:32:45 AM
My dh has threatened to confiscate all my sharp materials due to the number of cuts, nicks, scraps and other inguries.   Worst one was I dropped my shears and punctured my foot with them. Come to think of it my good shears have gone missing and I can't find any of the sharp blades for my rotary cutter Roll Eyes  I wonder where he could have hid them.

I have a friend who tells me if the significant other type people complain about the stash just tell them it is insulation.

And we require a lot of insulation up here in the frozen North. Wink
