AHHH! i'm about to go INSANE! my stupid sewing machine just keeps messing up. i have no idea what's wrong with it. The stitches are all messed up, the bobbin thread isn't catching the hook in from the needle thread, the stitches are absolutely erratic and HUGELY long. (Here, i took a picture:



can anyone help me? I brought it to my friend's dad who works for some fashion designer, and he "fixed" it so it worked for about two days. I think he said it was something with the tension, which i really don't understand how it works at all. I've been messing with it though, turned it really tight, which kinda worked for a few minutes, but not really. Also turned it practically off because the thread kept snapping. And in between. but nothing's worked 

can anyone save me from my sewing woes? i'm about to just buy a new sewing machine.

Yay! After skulking around craftster for about a bajillion years, i'm finally making a post! Most of this stuff I've worn, sold, and parted with since forever ago. I suppose this is sorta like an archive of my past projects. I'd love to hear what you think!

BAUHAUS SHIRT!
this shirt was my absolute favorite all through seventh grade. i wore a billion times over. so of course, by eigth, i couldn't stand to wear it ("that's OLD!") so i changed it, so it was new, and i didn't have to throw it out. admittedly, it was kinda harrowing to cut up that good ol' shirt. but the product was sweet! lotsa meshy stuff going on 








THE FRENCH COUNTRY TUTU!
I had an obsession with french country. And goodness, it was great. 


THE HEART SKIRT!
There was also a short period involving a lot of insipidity, I AM ELECTRIKK, type lameness. yes, i admit it. LAME! anyway, some awesomeness did emerge, in the form of this wonderful skirt (made from three dollar XXL pajama pants from kmart. THANK YOU KMART!)

never sold it. couldn't bear to part with this oh-so adaptable beauty.

i'm pretty sure this is the appropiate place to post this. i have sooo many shoes, and i'm constantly having to give them away, which makes me sad. my apartment is teeny tiny, so space is a pretty big issue. anyone have any good techniques they use? thanks so much!

silver stars:





for these, I painted the toe part silver and then the stars and then outlined them, and sewed some meshy black ruffles over the ugly elastic bunching, to further increase awesome-ness.

hmm sorry about the bad lighting on those ones. for those, I painted the side stars first, then the toe and the heel in similar fashions, as you can see. they're actually too big, cause they're for my best friend, not me.
