21  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Classic Rock Swap? on: January 19, 2007 08:20:08 AM
Does anyone wanna do a swap based on our favorite classic rock bands. Classic Rock is usually classified as being rock bands from 1970 to 1989. No Pop, though, rock and roll only! Bands like, Styx (whom I just saw in concert last nite and it was rock and roll history!soo magnificent!), Damn Yankees, Van Halen, Ted Nugent, Ratt, Cinderella, Motley Crue, Bad Company, Lynrd Skynrd, America,Aerosmith, Black Sabath, Rlling Stones, Beatles, Wings,Todd Rundgren, etc. Cant think of them all now....anyone up for it?

I was thinnking maybe a black corset with leggings (I can buy those and the boots and the mask) and a screenprinted ling sleeve shirt. the cape and headpiece are going to be a doozy. I was thinking maybe the mask from the cartoon in the mid-90's but how do I make that?
26  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / Paying Homage to a Fellow Craftster! on: January 05, 2007 07:29:29 AM
I have been in love with this dress ever since I fist laid eyes on it.

I have been a huge fan of smary clothes forver! How do I make this gorgoues dress? I tried to have someone replicate it for me, but it turned into a monstrosity. So, I guess the moral of that story is if you want something done right,do it yourself. I was thinking of maybe using double georgette fabric. What do y'all think?

30  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Bollywood meets.....Dollywood? on: December 29, 2006 07:35:51 AM
Ok, me and the sweetie have been talking about what we want our future home to look like. He says he wants country style decorations, I want bohemian/moroccan/bollywood decoratons. I was wondering if the two could be mixed since he wants very tasteful country decorarions (no plaster statues of robert e lee or john wayne, thank God!) and maybe I could sneak in some bollywood style things without him noticing. any ideas?
