1  Some more bras in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Grave_13 on: May 27, 2011 05:58:53 AM
I recently made these. The one with the blue lace has underwires, the salmon one doesn't. What I love so much about making lingerie is working with all these pretty laces and trims. And you don't need a lot of fabric  Smiley

2  blue lace bodysuit in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Grave_13 on: January 30, 2011 09:08:16 AM
Yesterday I finished another bodysuit. This one is made of black satin with a blue lace overlay. I used powermesh for the inserts and the back. There is a bit of pulling underneath the cups, but other than that I'm very happy with how it turned out.

4  I was feeling courageous... in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Grave_13 on: August 28, 2010 07:52:12 PM
I had this idea for panties with contrast colour pieces. After a lot of cutting and sewing this was the result:

I actually think this would be great with white fabric and the plaid.

And a halter bralette in the plaid fabric. I love it, it's very comfy.

6  2 tank tops into a dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Grave_13 on: July 06, 2010 02:42:46 PM
I don't usually do recons, but decided to give it a try when I found some cheap tank tops.

I started of with a black (larger size) and a pink top. I took of the binding at the armholes of both tops. After cutting and sewing the yoke, I reused the black binding.

8  Weddingshoes in Shoes: Completed Projects by Grave_13 on: May 13, 2010 10:30:00 AM
Sometimes I think I am insane  Tongue I wanted my weddingshoes in the same fabric as my dress. So I got some shoes to cover up and mod podge. This is how they looked at first :

I tried it with the mod podge but the result was too dark so I had to come up with a different solution.

I made a pattern and covered the shoes the same way an ironing board is covered. By pulling a thread at the edges, it sorta stays into place. Afterwards I secured it better with sewing and glueing.

They looked nice when dried, but to make sure it would not fall appart I covered the bottom with liquid rubber. Here is where I messed up.  I had put the shoes upside down to dry. But because I used too much rubber, it dripped and stained the front tips. I ended up sewing on an extra piece to cover the stains.

Here's the result :

10  ebook cover for my fianc in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Grave_13 on: January 23, 2010 07:24:37 AM
After having bought his e-book reader, of course he wanted something to protect it. So I made this:

I used the sturdy cardboard it came with, some batting, fabric, velcro, bias tape and elastics. The elastics were intended to hold the books, but making it still possible to navigate. However, it covers a bit of the screen, so a little less wide elastic would have been better. It was a pain to sew. I had to sew on the velcro before putting in the cardboard, and the whole thing is a bit crooked.
But he likes it  Smiley  It folds open and over completely, and it's fast to pack it closed. So very handy on the train. Grin
