PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Now I can walk!

When I go for my walks, I always end up carrying my cell phone - what a pain. I remembered that a few years ago I ordered a cell phone bag pattern from quiltsmart. The pattern is right on the interfacing. This went together so quick. I put an extra long strap on it so I can wear it across the body. I hope you like it! outside There is a pocket for my cell phone and a pocket that holds my medical id card, or you could put a driver license in there. Comments good or bad are much appreciated.

PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Carson's Diaper Bag

I used Craftapple's diaper bag pattern and made this for my soon to be here grandson. I wanted to use a fabric that wasn't too babyish, so I used marbles and jacks from the Toybox Fabric Collection by Johnnie Kawan. I would appreciate any comments - good or bad. Thanks! Front View The outside pocket The larger inside pocket (and a covered zip lock bag I included) The divided inside pocket that holds bottles and the cell phone packet The main flap closes with a magnetic snap and the cell phone pocket has Velcro on the flap. It really holds a lot. I filled it with bottles, pacifiers, baby wipes, lotion, ect.... and there was still room. Hope you like it!

PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Quilted Carry All

I haven't posted in awhile since my bags generally do not appeal to most here, but I'm really proud of this one and I hope you like it. I used this pattern http://henriettashandbags.com/quilted_carryalls_pattern.html to make a bag to carry on the plane (on my way to Jamaica!!) If I make another one, i would change a few things, but I am pleased with how it turned out. I might make the smaller one and carry as a purse. There are 8 pockets and 3 of them are divided. This side pocket on the inside is divided in thirds This shows one of the end pockets and the coin purse. It's attached with a tiny d ring and swivel hook. This is one on the outside end pockets.

HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / I know where my thread is

I got this idea from a post here, but I'm sorry I can't find it right now to give credit. I don't have as much thread as others, but at least it's all in 1 place now. If my supply grows, I can always reconfigure and add more screws. I found more thread after I took these photos, it was stuffed everywhere. No wonder I kept buying the same colors! Thanks for looking

PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Camo DVD Player Bag

I made this dvd player bag for my grandson to take on vacation. He picked the camo for the outside and the lining is US Marine Corp logos. I put fusible fleece on the outside fabric and the lining. It holds the dvd player and 4 dvds, has pockets for the car adapter, ac adapter & battery. I hope you like it and leave a comment (good or bad).

PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Brody's Book Bag

A simple drawstring book bag I made for my 2 year old grandson. It's smaller than most bags like this since he is only 2 and I didn't want him tripping over it. I'm didn't want the strings long, but I made them too short - so back to the fabric store for more cording to redo it. But otherwise, I'm really pleased with how it came out. I used this for a guide, but changed the size, added a lining, changed the casing .... http://sewing.about.com/od/freeprojects/ss/stringbackpack.htmComments or constructive criticism is appreciated. Draw up Other side Lining (really does look like fireworks)

PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Bright Beautiful Mini Charmer Tote
on: June 08, 2008 03:07:25 PM
This is the mini charmer tote from quilts illustrated. I used alien invasion charm pack from moda. It's a little shorter than it's supposed to be because I didn't follow the directions (was I supposed to read those!) Will have to get a button for the front pocket, but I still love it. Hope you like it too. Front: Back: Inside Pocket: It looks a little crooked laying down, but it's actually straight (that must have been an accident!) Thanks for looking. Comments encouraged
