Here are some patterns for business bags.  Might give you some ideas if you don't like to purchase patterns.

I've made quite a few of these from the original tute right here on craftster http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=194155.0.  Tea drinkers love them!

Don't know if this will help or not but I found this on the internet

http://www.note-tote.com/

You might be able to start with this basic pattern

http://sewing.about.com/od/giftideaspersonal/ss/bookcover.htm

Then you can put a binder in the middle where the book would be like this

http://flylady.net/pages/FlyShop_OIB.asp

All three are the same concept, you would just need to alter the basic pattern to fit your needs.

Cheesy
Wish I could have had a bag like this 12 years ago!! My soon -to-be teenager, was a cute baby boy then!! Fantastic bag with loads of pockets, and the colours brighten up anyone's day. This may not be the only one you make, if the other mums see it!!!!!  Grin

You may be right!  My other step-daughter wants to go into business and sell these to all her friends!  It was actually a pretty easy pattern so who knows, I might end up taking orders.

Thanks for all the nice comments.

I used Craftapple's diaper bag pattern and made this for my soon to be here grandson.  I wanted to use a fabric that wasn't too babyish, so I used marbles and jacks from the Toybox Fabric Collection by Johnnie Kawan.

I would appreciate any comments - good or bad.  Thanks!

Front View

The outside pocket

The larger inside pocket (and a covered zip lock bag I included)

The divided inside pocket that holds bottles and the cell phone packet

The main flap closes with a magnetic snap and the cell phone pocket has Velcro on the flap.  It really holds a lot.  I filled it with bottles, pacifiers, baby wipes, lotion, ect.... and there was still room.

Hope you like it!
