1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Cheetah, Rawr (; on: November 01, 2010 12:52:00 PM
How do you melt it? And when? After you shrank it? It looks amazing, and you are right - there is no such thing as too much pink or animal print Wink

Thanks!
I shrink them first at 325 degrees, then bump the heat up to 450 and stick them back in until they're clear and sort of rounded on the edges.

very cute... my question is... lol why in the shape of africa?

I'm an anthropology major with a concentration in African Studies.

As much as I loved shrink plastic before, discovering that I could melt it slightly to make the roughened backside turn clear sent me over the edge in helpless adulation.

Obviously the next step in my twitterpated haze was to add glitter and animal print. Classy!

No glitter in the necklace, but it's still pink so it's okay.

In case you couldn't get enough pink-cheetah-africa in one day. I mean who can, really?

Tongue What do you guys think?

I love the idea of the sweetness of the gems and trinkets with the harshness of of the bullet.

I found some little brown paper bags perfect for the size of my jewelry, and closed them with a Martha Stewart sticker. xD

Now I need to see about business cards.

I have seen onesies at Michael's before, in the section where they have all of the t-shirts and things for screenprinting.

Good luck! (:
