2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Does anyone know how to make a zippered Flap? on: March 11, 2009 06:02:48 PM
I can't help but noticing these zippered flaps everywhere from Mark Jacobs to Besty Johnson. Does anyone know how to add these flaps to a handbag. I have included a picture of what I mean.  http://bagbunch.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/betsey-johnson-rock-star-hobo.jpg

5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Buying melt n' pour in Florida? on: April 13, 2008 09:48:48 AM
Is Camden Grey the only person who use to sell melt n pour in Florida? My old supplier moved out of state a couple of years back and so i used to shop at Micheal's and Jo ann but I need wholesale pricing.  Can you help me find a local supplier?

Thanks

I am looking to build a group of craftsters in Coral Springs so we can get local business to show our work. We can do more in numbers than alone. Please let me know if you are interested.
8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Make mango butter? on: August 31, 2007 10:43:14 AM
Mango butter is made from the seed of the mango. Try grinding the seed into a find powder. The add it to a solid oil like coconut oil. This is just an idea. It may not work but its worth a try. You can always just add the powder to your products as well.
9  Florida / Florida: South / Seeking if people are alive and crafting in SOFL on: August 17, 2007 02:24:10 PM
Hey,

I do not know what everyone in South Florida is doing since its been so quiet. Is anyone still crafting in SOFL? If so, what ya up to?

Here is some info (recent)

the artist collective - a group that plans events for the arts in Miami

Please do not give up...

Keep Crafting

10  Florida / Florida: South / Selling your craft in Florida on: July 03, 2007 10:23:21 AM
I have often thought that Florida does not take crafters and Artisans seriously. If you are a sculpture, painter, or photographer then this is the state for you and no others may apply. As a jewelry designer and bath product manufacturer (I do that at home Smiley) I can't seem to get local galleries to carry my jewelry (5 out of state do though so I know it isn't my work). Can anyone suggest ways of successfully selling in Florida without doing a church fair, spending money you don't have on juried shows and going to galleries that act as if you just started out? The main question is: How do you sell your wares in South Florida?
