1  Ruffled Hobo in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Leesah on: April 13, 2013 10:45:15 PM
Hey everyone! I haven't posted on here in maybe 5 years ? Well, tomorrow is my friend's birthday and I noticed she still uses purses I made her 7 years ago, so I decided to make her a new one. This is the first purse/bag I've made in probably 5-6 years Smiley I used this tutorial: http://www.theboytrifecta.com/2010/10/grandview-bag-formerly-known-as-anthro.html?m=1

Thanks for looking Smiley

Bag includes two outer elastic pockets for carrying bottles etc, big pocket on bag for insertion of matching changing pad
inside has 4 big elastic pockets and two smaller ones, nylon cord with a clip to attach two zippered pouches, one is large to put soiled clothing and whatever else in, the smaller one is for mom to put her essentials in.

I made this for my sister in law

6  Another Diaper Cake in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by Leesah on: November 10, 2006 07:21:18 PM
This was my first time making one, and it's only two tiers because I was too cheap to buy more diapers lol  On top is a tag blankie I made, then there are shoes, a mini trash bag dispenser attached to the blankie, little baby mitts rolled up into "flowers" and of course the same ribbon I used for the blankie tied around each tier..  What do yall think?  The babyshower is on Sunday.. oh and there are a few baby caps in the second tier..

7  another lengha choli ... in Halloween Costumes by Leesah on: November 04, 2006 01:57:12 PM
This is actually the first thing I ever sewed in my entire life... after I made this I didn't sew another thing for almost a year.  It was really frustrating ... but now I love to sew! Smiley

I designed this after a music scene from an Indian movie with Aishwarya Rai.  She wore a dress similar to this in a song about lemons lol

There are two layers; a solid blue material and then a sparkly blue tulle type material on top.  The detail work is actually lace appliques and lace "ribbon" that I spray painted silver lol.. and then of course I used silver trim for the rest.  This was actually her Halloween costume for last year.

8  Lengha Choli (Indian dress) in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Leesah on: October 29, 2006 12:41:36 PM
I made this lengha choli and dupatta for my 4 yr old daughter for an Eid party we went to yesterday.  Her daddy is from India.

Lengha is the skirt, choli is the top and the dupatta is the scarf.

I used some really cheap pink fabric because all the trim I sewed on was super expensive!! I think the total cost of the trim was around $28.  Too much for a little hand sewn outfit if you ask me!

9  Re: pleaty bag in flower fabric. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Leesah on: October 23, 2006 05:30:58 PM
I had been meaning to make a purse just like this for some time and seeing your super cute one inspired me to get off mah butt and make it!!!  Yours is sooo cute, and I love the bright fabric, but it's not for everyone.  I made mine out of a pink bandana with white skulls printed on it. (I'll post a pic later)

Thanks for sharing your cute bag!

here's my version with the pink and white skulls..
