1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A painting with a twist....literally on: August 31, 2008 09:44:00 AM
I really started my love of all things crafty by painting. I stuck to the traditional things like trees, people, cartoon characters. (still love all those by the way). More recently, I have really started to enjoy less traditional things and it's inspired me to try something new. I realized I had a zillion Scrabble tiles left over from making bracelets so I figured I may as well incorporate them. Ok, I will shutup now. What do you think? It's 11x14 in size and ready to slap up on the wall!

And PS....the edges are finished now. Solid green

2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Martha is my Homegirl! Woot woot! on: August 24, 2008 07:48:51 AM
So, as some of you may know, I LOVE Martha Stewart. One night, while the boy was playing XBox, it hit me! Why not cut a stencil and make myself a shirt?! I love the way it came out so much that I burned a screen the other day so I can print a ton of them.  Grin

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Star Wars & Pirate Mayhem....and more! on: July 17, 2008 01:52:41 PM
So, I tend to like to make everything out of plastic because I am a creature of habit. These are my newest. I am getting crazy these days!  Grin

Some of you might recognize me. I am notorious for making 8 million plastic necklaces.  Cheesy

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Worship the plastic cupcake! on: March 20, 2008 01:59:15 PM
As some of you may know, I have an obsession with cupcakes. I also have an obsession with making stuff out of thin acrylic plastic. When I put the 2 together, this is what happens. I drew and colored the cupcake in Photoshop.  Smiley

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Cupcake Pillow Madness! on: February 26, 2008 03:57:24 PM
I have been on a roll lately with everything cupcake. These are the latest bad boys in my collection. Made from cottons, sweatshirt fabric, and some fancy stencils. hehe  Smiley

7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Cupcakes and Crossbones! on: February 25, 2008 04:30:51 PM
I love to screen print things, but when out of screens, it is time to make a stencil!

I doodled this bad boy the other night and decided that it MUST go onto a shirt. I made a brown hoodie for myself and then made a cleaner version on a tshirt. Hope you love it!

<3 the cupcake.....

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Even more Steampunk madness from Mom! on: February 19, 2008 05:38:45 PM
Mom's rings were a big hit last time so I thought I would share her 3 newest. All of these are made from old watches that were headed to the trash. Leave it to Mom (aka Martha Stewart) to make something this cool!

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Buddha and his Gee-tar on: February 19, 2008 05:35:46 PM
I have posted a bunch of "fantastic plastic" before, and these bad boys are my 2 newest.

Printed and hand cut from acrylic. Buddha may be my new fave!

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Skully Love Appliqued Scarf and Mittens on: February 18, 2008 03:33:05 PM
I have been on a crafting spree lately and these are my 2 latest. Both the scarf and mittens are made out of chenille.

I hand appliqued the skulls and hearts onto both. They are super cozy and soft. Probably my favorite new material to work with.
