21  Buddha and his Gee-tar in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by TrashedClothing on: February 19, 2008 05:35:46 PM
I have posted a bunch of "fantastic plastic" before, and these bad boys are my 2 newest.

Printed and hand cut from acrylic. Buddha may be my new fave!

22  Skully Love Appliqued Scarf and Mittens in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by TrashedClothing on: February 18, 2008 03:33:05 PM
I have been on a crafting spree lately and these are my 2 latest. Both the scarf and mittens are made out of chenille.

I hand appliqued the skulls and hearts onto both. They are super cozy and soft. Probably my favorite new material to work with.

xoxo

23  Re: Stuffie Swap in The Swap Gallery by TrashedClothing on: February 16, 2008 08:10:10 PM
Yay! Again, I am SO happy you like it. A very good friend of mine is a toy designer and she said she would teach me how to "sew like a pro". Through much trial and error, including 2 screw ups and 8 hours worth of work, I had that little guy. I based him off a hand puppet that my little cousin had.

It was also the first time I learned to make little bean bags for the feet.  Smiley Oh, and those awesome eyes are from ebay. I bought a huge box of random eyes for $6 almost 2 years ago, and I knew they were perfect for this bad boy.

Here's the puppet he's based on:

26  Mom's awesome Steampunk Rings! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by TrashedClothing on: February 03, 2008 10:43:04 AM
So mom has been making steampunk pins for I'd say at least 15 years. Recently, she got fancy and made some rings. Yay!

All of her pieces are one of a kind and she gets all of her broken watches from family and local jewelers. Hope you enjoy!!

27  The Angry Cupcake Pillow in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by TrashedClothing on: February 03, 2008 06:58:16 AM
I really felt like making some pillows last night. Our cable was messed up so I couldn't watch UFC(which is like breaking a commandment in this house).

I found a really cool drawing on google with a cupcake saying some "bad words". I took the cupcake out, made him a stencil, and gave him some sprinkles.

The cupcake is hand stencilled onto a pink sweatshirt that I cut apart. The back is made from a dishtowel from Target's Valentine's Day line. The last picture is the back of my Trashed Clothing tags. It makes me giggle. I hope you enjoy! It is now sitting in my comfy chair.  Smiley

28  Skele-plush! My first in too long a time! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by TrashedClothing on: February 02, 2008 05:42:37 PM
Hey everyone. I got my crafty start making plushies many moons ago. I stopped for awhile, and frankly, I miss it.

This is the first I have made in quite a long time. It's a cutesy skeleton which I will perfect with the next creation. He's made entirely out of fleece and completely machine stitched. Yay!

Please don't mind the not so good picture. He enjoys sitting in our comfy chair.  Smiley

30  Don't Cut Yourself!!! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by TrashedClothing on: January 23, 2008 02:42:00 PM
I really really love sewing scarves, but decided that this red one was a little too boring. Then the light bulb went on. Razor blades would look lovely of course. Hehe.  Smiley
