This recipe is making me drool already. I <3 this stuff so much. I found the recipe in magazine, don't quote me on it but I believe it was Fitness.
MAKE SURE YOU USE RIPE PEACHES! 30 minutes to make, +time to freeze 6-ish servings
3 lbs peeled peaches, pitted 1/4-1/2 cup sugar (to taste) 1/2 cup mascarpone (can use creme fraiche or yogurt=what I use)
Cut peaches into very small pieces. The smaller, the finer your final texture will be. Arrange pieces on a single layer baking sheet and freeze for about 2 hours. O\Put frozen pieces in a food processor/blender with the sugar and grind. Add your mascarpone (or substitute) and pulse until smooth. Empty in a small container and freeze of another 30 minutes, serve.

Now I know we have had a thousand of these swaps but I'm pretty sure I am not alone to say we need at least one more. Everything recipe related!!! From cards, to pictures, to utensils and books, aprons and charcoal for the BBQ! lol. There are hundreds of examples of things we can do, I just don't have the chance to get all the links right this second. Anyone else up for this?
So my bf's birthday is coming up. We've been together for over two years so of course I want it to be special. It's his 21st but I don't want anything drinking related because he's already a recovering alcoholic. That said, he's been going to bullriding school once a year since he was like 15. (That's all he can afford a year). So for his birthday, his mom bought him another session this year plus an entry in the local rodeo. He doesn't know this yet of course so I want to craft him lots of goodies, most functional, some fun, themed around bull riding. He is a full time college student, studying automechanics and weilding, as well a full time employee of Lowes. 110% redneck and a bull rider. For functional goodies so far I have: -a folder for school (done) -a messenger bag -a t shirt (done) For fun I have: -a sort of long horn skull I could attach to the front of his truck (not real!) any tips how to do this?
Thats all I can think of right now. Any other ideas/tips?
I know this swap has been done before. I couldn't find a gallery though. Like you send your partner a list of your favorite book(s) or author(s), they choose one and theme your whole package around that (with specifics given to favorite characters/chapters/quotes etc. Example: Harry Potter series (figured it was an example everyone could relate too) A wand pencil, harry potter doll, weasley sweater, slytherin scarf, witches hat, taped glasses etc.
Anyone else interested? Hate to do this, but I'd rather not organize. :/
My cousin is going out of town for a week and her birthday is when she gets back. She keeps talking about redoing her room to look more "her" while incorporating a more sophisticated look. So, while she is gone I want to redo it for her. She rents so she has fake wood floor, and beige-ish walls that I can't paint. She basically lives in a 10' x 10' box with a closet the size of my big toe. She's really eclectic. She's crafty, sews, does sculpture, and collects art from other cultures. She also has a leopard print chair shaped like a high heel shoe and pink, green, orange and blue polka dotted comforter. Like I said. eclectic. Where do I start to pull it all together and give it a "sophisticated" feel?
This may have been done before, to be honest I didn't even check. If there's a gallery please post! It may just be me, but I am a scrabble and sudoku nerd. I'm thinking you choose a favorite board game (or I suppose it could be a video game too) IE: Monopoly, Scrabble, Sudoku, Sorry, Life Etc And craft accordingly. Like those scrabble letter pillows, or monopoly money messanger bags, sorry peices shaped candles I don't know. Anyone else want to expand on this idea? I'm actually waiting for feedback on my first swap so we can't start this right away if so, and if anyone wants to organize that would be great. I'm not sure I want to start organizing quite yet.
I'm not sure how to state this because it's not as bad as its going to sound. First off I will mention my boyfriend's 21'st birthday is coming up so I need some ideas for that. Plus our 2 year anniversary is coming up as well. [I know simple cheesy gifts will suffice] Now for the hard part. Admittedly I have only been in love one other time. We are both well aware of this. [Big deal right?] He knows who just as I know of his past. [He's not usually a paranoid person]. My ex is in the army so I haven't seen him in a little over two years. He does however return from Iraq in a month and has been calling me/emailing. First we were just chatting and catching up. My boyfriend got jealous but trusted me. Then my ex casually slipped he still had feelings for me. I told him upfront I am betrothed to my current boyfriend and deeply in love with him and he's cool with that. Just said he needed to make sure I knew that. However stupid me showed my boyfriend the conversation. [He would have found out/read it later and taken it wrong-I thought being honest was a good thing]. Now he's freaking out and completely paranoid that I'm going to start thinking about my ex and go back to him. [Which I would never!] He has a lot of hatred towards my ex which bothers me but I want to make him a gift or two that proves my love is only for him. I don't think it would be fair to give up a good friend that happens to be an ex just to prove my love. Any ideas? Sorry this post was soo long! :/
I did this piece about two years ago. I never thought it was anything special but I just got it back yesterday and wanted to get another opinion. See my high school art teacher LOVED it and stole it and put it in every art show he conjured up for his students. Needless to say-I hadn't seen it since. However, I went to a local show about a month ago only to see my picture hanging up. It was an open reception and listening in a heard a lot of mixed comments. Some requested a price from my teacher, others were disgusted. Anyway, I finally decided enough was enough and asked for him to give it back when the show was finished. It's a mixed media I suppose. Graphite, white out, sharpie, pen and ink, and colored pencil on mat board. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/Golden_Rainbow/52507055-1.jpg
