52  Mercury Rising - Effigy of a Thief in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by chimerix on: August 15, 2006 12:28:37 PM
I am going tonight to hang this piece I finished - titled "Effigy of a Thief".
It is for a "Mercury Rising" show that is going up in downtown Honolulu.

It is my first big piece.  It is built on a partial childs store mannequin.  (I had to carve the legs out of high density foam.)  It is just under 4 feet tall.

I am pretty happy with it, but would love comments and constructive criticism!

53  Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by chimerix on: August 10, 2006 06:36:27 PM
I finally finished my dragons on 7/26/06.  The top clouds are the final instalment and the pic was taken right after I got home from the shop.

I'll post another picture after the grey clouds have settled down.

Oooh Yay!  Can I see your nipples?  I mean, er...the crafted ones?

I wonder if I'm the first person to post on craftster the phrase, "can I see your nipples?"

Ha, ha, ha - of course you can see my nipples.

55  Lady Bug Crop Jacket in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by chimerix on: August 03, 2006 04:25:01 PM
This is the Lady Bug Crop Jacket I made from fake fur that I got at a remnant sale!!

(The hat was made for me by a friend to match the jacket.)

It has hidden buttons on the inside to keep it closed up the front.

I hope you like it as much as I do!
