21  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Paul Frank Swap? on: August 20, 2007 10:29:23 AM
Would anyone be interested in a Paul Frank swap?
www.paulfrank.com
we could do different things with any of the characters - Julius, Julius and friends, skurvy, ms. skurvy etc. My personal favorites are Skurvy and Ms. Skurvy.

We don't have a Paul Frank store where I live so I always load up when I go to Cali, Vegas or NY. Macy's & Nordstrom have Paul Frank things but mostly t-shirts & pajama pants, no small stuff or purses etc.

I can definitely organize if there is enough interest in a swap. whatcha think??
22  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Fun Knitting tote with felt applique :) on: April 18, 2007 10:25:12 AM
My good friend wanted a knitting tote to carry her projects and other things in it. She picked out all the fabric and I made it for her.

Here's a pic of the ball of yarn and knitting needles felt applique on the front of the bag.

this inside is bright green corduroy with 2 large pockets and a magnetic snap closure.

And here's her with the bag. It was the perfect length for her and she loves it Smiley

She made me the cutest knit hat with ears. I'm glad she loves it!

Feedback welcome!!
23  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Carry On bag with Skulls & Flowers! on: April 01, 2007 11:18:46 AM
I went on a trip the beginning of the month and I wanted a big messanger style bag I could use as a carry on for all of my nonsense. So I made up this pattern for my bag. The bag is pink denim with 2 outside snap pockets that have skulls I ironed on. The bag closes with a big metal zipper.

Here's the inside of the bag, a fun pink and black floral pattern. There's a large zippered pocket on the inside.

I love how it came out and it went so well with my pink luggage! I'll have to add an action shot later.
Comments appreciated!
24  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Heart Magnets on: February 15, 2007 03:21:52 PM
I haven't posted anything on this board in awhile so I thought I'd share these. I made these magnets for a custom order recently. The pink and silver is my favorite.

What do u think? feedback always welcome Smiley
25  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Skully girly hobo on: February 09, 2007 09:07:44 AM
I love skulls and found this cute fabric had had to make a bag out of it for myself.

This is the first hobo style bag I've made. I made the dimensions and just kind of figured out this bag out as I went. When it got to the handles I was unsure of what to do and after searching around craftster I found the tutorial by tinafish and incorporated my rings and handle the way she did.

there is on inside pocket - it's hard to see the opening just blends in with the dark fabric.
I'm really happy with how the bag came out!

what do you think? feedback always welcome!
26  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / build me a website? on: January 22, 2007 05:37:53 PM
Does anyone have any recommendations for having my website built? my goal for this year (hopefully) is to get my own website up and going. I only have an Etsy store right now and I want my own site too.

I looked into having my site down by http://www.aeolidia.com they make awesome sites but at the minimun they charge $600 and that for a premade template very basic. for anything customized it is more like $1200. I would love to be able to do that with them but it's just not possible right now. Anyone know of anywhere else??

Thanks!
27  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I needed to test out my new machine! on: December 16, 2006 01:08:11 PM
I set up my new industrial strength machine today. My parents and grandparents got me a new sewing machine for Christmas and my birthday (january).  It's a Janome 1600P DBX and it's freakin' awesome.
I had some vinyl scraps and fabric left over from another bag I made and whipped this baby up.

black vinyl outer and pink with polka dots for the lining. The flap isn't really crooked it's just the way it was laying.

I'm so happy with the new machine it was such and upgrade for me! and now I have a new bag to use tonight Smiley

Any comments??
28  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Wonder Woman on: October 29, 2006 10:38:22 PM
I wanted to post this here too since it's made of clay! I just did the altoid tin swap 3 and 1 of my partner's themes was wonder woman.

The top of the tin is covered in red sculpey and the bottom is blue sculpey with white sculpey stars all over it. The only part that isn't clay is the wonder woman logo mad from shrinky dink plastic.

Thanks for looking  Grin
29  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Large Knitting tote on: October 26, 2006 09:49:08 AM
I made this knitting tote for my mom. I'm not a huge fan of the fabric (she picked it out) but I'm very happy with how the bag came out. I didn't use a pattern, I designed it.

There is a flap that hangs over with a button for decoration. It doesn't have any closure just the flap..those were the requests!

The inside has a large zippered pocket

Thanks for looking...comments appreciated!
30  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Shrinky Charms on: October 21, 2006 07:56:12 PM
Here's some shrinky dink charms. I think I'll make them necklaces or zipper pulls.

Thanks for looking!!
