1462  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: help! question about interfacing on: October 16, 2006 02:48:45 PM
In my experience you can still just sew it in. I just bought some heavy weight interfacing that is iron on for use in a wallet and after repeatedly ironing it to my fabric it didn't all fuse to the fabric....So i just sewed as if it was fused to the fabric completely. If the interfacing is cut the same size as the fabric and you pin well while sewing you shouldn't have a problem with the interfacing shifting.
If you got the thin iron interfacing this probably won't work because it won't give the bag much structure without ironing it on.

Hope that helps!  Smiley

Well at least the next one you make will be perfect now that you've learned from your mistakes!  Wink

It looks cool even with all your hardships and I really like the lining!

1468  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Sanding and Buffing? on: October 16, 2006 09:43:55 AM
I've read a bunch of different things before posting this and just want to make sure I've got it right..

I've never really sanded my pieces before but last night I made a few that definitely need it. So I started sanding and have those sanding marks now...if I continue to sand with higher grits I will get rid of those marks right? (I've only used 1 grit so far 600 I think)

And then after I sand I can get rid of that cloudy cast on my beads by buffing them on jeans or fabric?

Thanks so much for reading and helping!  Smiley
