ok i dont know if its just cuz im tired...or if its not fixable....but im super bummed i made something that im totally stoked about and i cut the zipper cuz it was too long (i have never worked with zippers.....ever)  and i was going to stitch it so it would stop and not run off of the zipper but i forgot and was so happy i was done and i ran the zipper right off the zipper.......ive tried to pull it back on........is it ruined?

peppermint bark!   to make a batch i used 1 bag hershey special dark chocolate chips and melted them, once melted i added a small cap full of peppermint extract.  then spread it out on a sheet pan covered in foil!   let that harden ( i put it in the freezer)  and then melt 1 bag of white chocolate chips!  either add extract to this or not.....spread it over the dark chocolate and immediately sprinkle with crushed candy canes!  let harden an break into pieces and enjoy!!!

today i babysat 2 of my little cousins...so what should we do? make christmas cookies!!!!!
 then the kiddies watched grinch while i made chocolate biscotti with peppermint white  chocolate chips  and holiday biscotti with orange zest, pistatios and craisins!!!!

i also made peppermint bark but my cell died and that's the only camara i have right now!

 Today was a fun day!!!!

















Holiday Biscotti

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup butter or margarine,
softened
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon orange extract
3 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup dried cranberries,

coarsley chopped

2/3 cup pistachios, coarsely
chopped
2 tablespoons grated orange peel

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time,
beating well after each addition. Stir in extracts. Combine flour, baking
powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well (dough
will be sticky). Stir in cranberries, pistachios and orange peel. Chill for 30
minutes.
2. Divide dough in half. On a floured surface, shape each half into a loaf
1-1/2 to 2-in. diameter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at
350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes.
3. Cool for 5 minutes. Cut diagonally into 3/4-in. thick slices. Place slices,
cut side down, on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 9-10 minutes.
Turn slices over. Bake 10 minutes more or until golden brown. Cool on
wire rack. Store in an airtight container.


Chocolate peppermint biscotti
INGREDIENTS:
   5 cups flour
   1 1/2 cups cocoa powder
   2 tbs baking powder
   1 cup butter
   2 cups sugar
   6 eggs
   1 tbs vanilla extract
   2tsp peppermint extract
   2 cups chocolate chips (I used these peppermint white choc thingies I found at world market)

PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 400F. Cream sugar and butter. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until smooth and add vanilla extract. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to the egg mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Shape the dough into 6 longs loaves and brush with beaten egg yolk. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Cut each loaf into 1 inch slices and place back on baking sheet. Reduce heat to 350F and place slices back into the oven. Bake for another 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and cool.

ok this may sound stupid......but i dont know anyone that knits or crochets.........i taught myself to crochet online.......and was wondering...is there a certain way to roll a ball from a skein of yarn ? i mean do you just roll it ? or ?   im sick of my yarn getting tangles LOL any help would be greatly appreciated!

ok so i was trying to make the panta or the calio thingy lol sorry i dont remember what its called........so what do you think?  im kinda new at crochet and ya its kinda bumpy and uneven.....but its the first thing ive done without following a pattern!!! Smiley   oh also i forgot to put a button hole........is it too late?  i mean is there anything i can do without redoing it?

ok so in the knitting board is a caliometry .......its so cute.......but i dont even know what that type of thing is called.......is there something like this done in crochet?  and is caliometry the name of a pattern or is it the name of the actual head band thingy?  sorry to sound dumb i just dont know much about this stuff.

ok i have no clue what im talking about........but on here i have seen pictures that have been blown up and are put on a wall by blocks......like a normal size printer paper is one block.....and i thought this was done by taking a picture and running it through some program or website or something........i know this is very vague but i have no clue what im talking about.......does anyone else? lol

and the girl i am a nanny for wanted a beanie for when she figure skates.....yes ice rinks in phoenix baffles my mind too........but here's what i came up with.......i dont know if its my computer..but it looks grayish to me...in real life its bright purple with black stripes.
