1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Tank top tote bag on: March 11, 2012 03:58:37 AM
A while ago i bought a cute but huge babydoll style tank top from the charity shop around the corner with the intent to refashion it to fit me. After leaving it hanging on my craft room door for about a month I decided this afternoon that perhaps it was destined to be a bag instead. I started cutting and sewing without really planning anything specific and came up with this. It took me a couple of hours but would have been much quicker/easier if i hadn't insisted on lining it and adding a top panel. I'm pretty pleased with the result Cheesy

and this one shows the size a little better - it fits magazines woot!

2  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / EUROPE / Postcard Pal on: February 03, 2008 07:44:59 PM
Hi There

Wasn't sure where to put this so i am sorry if it is in the wrong spot.

I am in Australia and was wondering if anyone would be interested in being "postcard pals"  Smiley Instead of sending each other letters that take a long time to write we would send short postcards with quick notes on them. Its just an idea but please pm me if you are interested.

Thanks

Bec

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Cute Cards for People I Love on: January 14, 2007 08:27:18 PM
So i'm gradually posting all the things i have been making over the holidays and thought these deserved a mention.

These are some chrissie cards i made for my boy's family

The little angel is my fave (it went to his nanna Smiley)

This one is a kind of goodbye/goodluck card for my friend moving to canberra to start a graduate possie with the govt. The piccies are of cool things she can buy with her new job money... i think she'll get it...

Thanks for looking - any comments are appreciated!
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / remnant + craftster tute = makeup bag love on: January 02, 2007 10:32:05 PM
Hey everyone! This is my first completed item i've posted here so be gentle and please forgive me if i mess up the piccies with my new camera.
Anyway..
I went on a foraging trip to spotlight this morning and came home with a 30cm offcut of stripy canvas. I thought its perky yet sturdy nature suited it perfectly to life as a makeup bag for my friend who is moving interstate.
I used a craftster tute of course (thankyou alvan!)

I stumbled upon this site the other night while i was trying to find a cheaper way to refill my Filofax.

www.diyplanner.com

It has free printable templates for various planner sizes as well as a huge list of user designed templates that can be used for everything from writing music to planning storyboards. All they ask is that you only download what you need so they can keep their bandwidth down.

Definitely worth a look!
