1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Felted bucket style hat? on: September 21, 2008 07:05:29 PM
Has anyone come across or know of a pattern for one?  I am on my 3rd attempt and when it comes to the felting, it ends up too small and I am not wasting anymore wool and by wasting I mean letting my kid play with them with her dolls.

Thanks!
2  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Color bar blanket question on: August 09, 2007 08:40:47 PM
I am working on the color bar blanket.  I have the white done as well as the navy.  Here is the issue, I don't have all the colors and a few of them seem to be discontiued.  Any suggestions of what to do?
3  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Sublime Stitching book issue/question on: July 14, 2007 07:55:02 AM
I was so excited when I found the book at my local joanns.  I brought it right home and started cutting transfers out.  No matter what color I try to iron on to it doesn't transfer, I iron for minutes and it is so light I can barely see it.  I didn't expect this because my stitch it kit transfers in seconds perfectly.

I tried to return the book, but because I cut out stuff they wouldn't let me.

Has anyone had this problem with the transfers from the book?
4  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Bird on a tote. on: July 07, 2007 09:09:59 PM

This is my second project ever. it is a simple blue canvas bag, bought on clearance.
Juliet is the name of a song by my favorite band.  If the scroll was bigger it would have read Adaline.

Thanks for looking.
5  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / First embroidery ever. on: July 02, 2007 08:54:09 PM
I got the kit today and was surprised how easy it really makes it, I was so excited.
Sorry for the blurriness, the pic does it no justice, but with my point and shoot I can't get a good shot.

6  UNITED STATES / Maryland / Baltimore visitor, where to go? on: June 21, 2007 06:50:21 PM
I am going to visit my best friend at her new place in a few weeks and would like to check out some local yarn stores while I am there.  Any suggestions?
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Medallion Motif scarf question on: May 01, 2007 08:06:28 PM
I am fine with everything, I have even made this scarf before, but for some reason I can seem to take round 4 apart and remember it.  It is,

Rnd 4: Ch 3, * [yo and draw up a loop in next st, yo and through 2 loops on hook] 3 times, yo and through 4 loops on hook, ch 5, dc in next st, rep from * around, end with ch 5, end with sl st in beg ch.

Any advice?
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Vertical stripe question. on: April 19, 2007 05:24:49 PM
I have been trying to figure out if this is possible for days and I just can't seem to make it work. Here's the deal.

I want to make a scarf that had 15 casted on, every 5th stich I want to change color and then just repeat that pattern.  The problem I have having is that they are just knitted in three seperate strips.  How do I connect them?  Is it possible?
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Easy slipper pattern? on: October 29, 2006 06:30:40 PM
I want to make a pair of slippers for a realtive in the hospital.  Here is the thing, she was in a coma for months and now has to go to rehab.  I need a pattern that is easy for her to put on herself.  Do you think pretty much any pattern will work?  Mary Janes are out because of the buttons.  I am just afraid of giving her something she can't use.  Opnions, comments?
10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / First paper post- cards on: October 19, 2006 07:48:38 PM
I decided I needed to know how to emboss to make cards, so I borrowed some stuff and I like it, but am not very good.  I would apperciate comments and maybe tips if you have them.  I bought white scrapbooking paper, a few sheets were textured and the other were plain.  I chose white to start because I didn't want to worry about color and embossing at the same time.  I just cut the paper to size and went for it.
