1  Re: DIY Kit Swap Round 11 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by danceisthenewmosh on: November 15, 2008 06:27:10 PM
I got my package today, I was here all day and was like fe mail man, where is my mail?  At about 5:30 I run across the street to the store to get some things.  I come back and there is the package at my doorstep.  How does that work?  I am thinking my lame neighbors took it, realized they aren't cool enough and then gave it back.  But anyway, I got a super awesome book binding kit.  A pamphlet stitch and a japanese stab binding.  Okay, so here is the best part.  She put it all in a nifty carrying case.  BEST IDEA EVER!  I am super pumped to get into this.

It is Christmas time and both my good digital cameras are set up in my studio at work, so I have crappy camera pic.  The kit includes paper, the case, cord, glues, alphabet stamps (they are so tiny and cute!), needles, clips, it is perfect.  Can you tell I am rambling because I am so excited?

Please ignore my kid's boot in the last one and the sparkle paper chain I am making for the Christmas tree.

Day 12- The cutest lime green tin full of chocolate chip cookies!  A craftster's dozen.  dogsarecool told me she makes the best chocolate chip cookies and seriously she does, better than my mom's even.  I took a photo, but I can't find my cord and my isight camera is being a jerk.  Tomorrow I will buy a card reader or find the cord.

Day 11- Sparkly star ornaments!  They are all different sizes with red and green ribbon.  I am looking for my cord right now.

Day 10- Disney Magnets.

Not all of them are pictured because the kid took Marie and Mimmy Mouse (as she calls them.

PS. I am not sure if it did the thumbnail thing, I tried.

PPS. Sorry I haven't updated, I am pretty sick.  So I haven't been opening, but I am sure they rock.

Are you all ready to be super jealous of my super awesome swap journal?  I can't say how much I love it.  I want to join a new swap just so I can write in it.  Get your wist buttons ready.

Inside pages.

Detail of cover, it is a little blurry because the skull is sparkly.

The whole thing.

Dyingtolive, I love it so much.  I can't thank you enough.

This is my second project ever. it is a simple blue canvas bag, bought on clearance.
Juliet is the name of a song by my favorite band.  If the scroll was bigger it would have read Adaline.

Thanks for looking.

I recieved both squares today, one from kazkitty and the other from disneyfan.

This is the one from kazkitty, i love it, the pattern is awesome and it convinced me to get some microspun yarn because it feels wonderful!

This is from disneyfan and I love this one too.  it is the softest color blue and it is so subtle and pretty.

Thank you both so much.

I got the kit today and was surprised how easy it really makes it, I was so excited.
Sorry for the blurriness, the pic does it no justice, but with my point and shoot I can't get a good shot.

Duh, I almost forgot, I got a CD from ohmyword.  We listened to it all day at work, my favorite co-worker and my not so favorite both asked for copies.

The playlist is,
12 days of Christmas by John Denver and the Muppets
12 days of Christmas by Alvin and the Chipmunks
Redneck 12 days of Christmas by Jeff Foxworthy
The 8 Polish Foods of Christmas by Veggie Tales
12 days of Christmas by Memorial Madrigals
Oh Santa! by Veggie Tales
Carol of the Bells
Oh Holy Night by Rescue
A tiny Child
Joy to the world
When love came down
Deck the Halls

Okay, I got really tired of typing.  I hurt my wrist at work today, so here's a pic.  Excuse the dirty work hair.

I got my pendant today.  I love it.  I am going to tell everyone it is A for Awesome because I am so awesome I have to have a necklace to catch the overflow.  Thanks so much.

Excuse the decapitated photo, I worked today (I made 13 batches of caramel corn) and I am dirty and gross and no one wants to see that.

Here are my awesome gifts from Roses are Red

The bag, I was showing it to random strangers through my car window yesterday.  I think I almost got myself shot...

Super comfy, super pretty bracelet I love.  It is awesome.  I don't even know how to describe it.  It is cool.

I love this barette, the pic is a little blurry, but in the center is a silver skull.  It is so much fun.  It looks like every other flower barette, but it has a surprise.  I wore it today, it was perfect!

I can't find the necklace.  I wore it yesterday and can't remember where I took it off.

Thank you so much Laura.  If anyone gets a chance to swap with her TAKE IT!  She is super sweet and so thoughtful.

I got my sweet journal from SaccharineSunshine0 4 today!  It is so awesome.  It is news print with a completely manual Nikon and read "Trust me - I'm a photographer."  I am going to use it for my field work.  I can't say how much I love it.  thank you so much.

So awesome action shot.
