It's a Louet S10 and I love it! I've been spinning Tuesday and Wednesday all evening and I'm starting to get the hang of it. Maybe I'll have something to show on next Fiber Friday!

I really love spinning on a wheel it's a really different feeling that spinning on a spindle  Grin

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Staining and varnishing wood on: July 26, 2006 06:50:09 AM
Hello,

I am currently stripping my kitchen table and buffet which was an ugly pinkish-white. After I'm finished I'm gonna stain it a medium-dark brown. (It's a wood table and I would like to keep it in wood, no latex paint for me, thanks) So I'm wondering, I know we can find varnish with color in it, is it better than staining the wood first, wait for it to dry and then varnish?

Thanks for your help!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / T-shirt recon on: July 14, 2006 06:50:00 PM
Two recons completed in two days. I'm on fire!  Grin

Here's some before and after pics

(It was just too hot today, I was in bathing suit all night long  Wink)

I had to add the black fabric to the front because I cut the sides too narrow so it was too tight, now it fits just perfectly.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first reconstruction on Crafster on: July 13, 2006 05:58:07 PM
So, after looking at the tutorial for the box pleat skirt, I decided it was time I give the same treatment to one of my jeans:

After a few hours of cutting and 1 hour and something of pinning (is that a word?) and sewing, here's what I got:
Front:

Back:

I still need to put some pockets on the back, because there is a hole and you can see my as*, maybe not on the picture but in person, yes.

Any comments or ideas about what to do with the pockets ? I steel have a leg left of jeans Grin
