That's so cute!  It's like the Emily hoodie, but without having to pay like $8,000 on eBay.  I love it!

The zipper doesn't look that bad.  Did you press the burlap seams forward to cover the zipper?

I love it!  I want to go out and buy this pattern right away.

You said the sizing in the bust had to be adjusted, but overall, do you think the sizing is correct?

That's excellent!  I wonder if it'd work with fuzzy nap felt (since the Denver fabric isn't available)...

I never would have thought of using towels as scrap fabric.  Two questions:
a) Does the material unravel, or is it staying put after you've braided it?
b) How thin did you cut the strips?

Yes!  With sweaters.

That's super cute.  You should sell one on Etsy!
278  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Free Form Question on: January 31, 2007 04:20:27 PM
Hey, lads and ladies.  I'm a semi-newbie crochet...er.  I was wondering if anyone has tried free-form crochet.  There was a needlework gallery at my library recently and somebody had put up a crocheted wall hanging of a 3-D face.  I was curious if this was best done with yarn or string and if you have to "pad" the back or stiffen the string to make the images stand out.  Any ideas?

And in green, too!  Your mom's a rock star.

I love it!  It looks really well done.  Finally, something cute to do to those too tight shirts that are sitting in my "maybe this will fit someday" pile.
