This is Nick. My solemn little protester. He's the coolest 7 year old on the block. And he has the prettiest, roundest, brightest eyes, ever.

I'm not sure if these will work or not, but lets see...Keep in mind I am NO professional and I have a crap-tastic camera lol.

I love taking photos around town. There are so many beautiful, old, abandoned buildings. I'm too chicken to go in them as of yet, but I'm working up the courage!

this is the old county jail, I want to get in there SO bad!

3  Spice up my cozy bedroom (ESPECIALLY UGLY CLOSET DOORS) in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by pinkmissmarilyn on: July 19, 2006 12:17:07 AM
Hi there darlings!
I love my little nook of a bedroom. Its very plush, warm and cozy....but it can still use a little work.

So I have for you now a few snapshots of some areas (and for some reason it looks so sparce in the photos...but there is more to it, lol) and maybe you can give me some pointers.

My big deal here is my closet doors to be honest. I just feel like the space is wasted. I have a few photos to show you what the rest of the room looks like, and maybe get a few ideas from you guys as to what to do about the doors.

that said:
Here are the doors. Old clunky wooden sliding doors. Ugh.

Bulletin board and chest of drawers (with my little statues of Jesus and the Holy Mother hehe.)

My (very cluttered) Desk/book-case.

My tv stand (and the hanging make-up organizer I'm very proud of. Made it yesterday out of napkins I found at wal-mart)

Annnd my bed (you cant see the christmas lights I have put up under the skirting. It looks so pretty with the lights off, but as of now, i have them turned off.)

Any tips appreciated!

4  Pretty way to display war medals? in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by pinkmissmarilyn on: July 15, 2006 07:44:36 PM
Hi guys!

I have these three great medals that were passed down through my family. My grandmother gave them to me because she knows I'm a sucker for this sort of thing. Two of them are medals two of her brothrers won in WWII
and the other is a Confederate Medal of Honor from the Civil War!

I want to hang them or display them in my room some how, but not sure quite what to do..

The first two are pin backs on the cloth part and the third is a sort of screw onto a pin in the back...
if I could find my camera, i would post photos to give you a better idea.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

 (P.S....got around to uploading photos)

{the three medals, beautifully displayed on my lovely wal-mart bedding}

{this is how the first two attach}

{and you can see the difficuly of the third, as it attaches quite different}
