5  Re: Sufer/Pin-up girl purse and matching case and extras (5 pics) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by DanielleHicks on: September 25, 2006 08:06:09 AM

also are your measurements for each bag different then?
are the bags in the 3rd picture about the same size as the bag in the first one?
This is normally the patten I go by. I start with the a pick of fabric that is 20 inches by 15  (red area)then I cut 5 inches by 20 inches off (light blue and dark blue area) and I cut them in half for pockets.
Then my next thing is to cut the straps with I cut an area of 5 by 23 and cut that in half to make 2.5 by 23 (green areas)  After I get that all cut out I get my peice the measures 15 by 15 and fold it in half. Then on the folded area I cut a 1.5 by 1.5 inche off of side (black and gray area). I do this to 2 different fabrics one for the outside and one for the inside.  I hope that makes since.

I hope I did ok I explaining my measurements to you.
