1  Re: Craft for my Significant Other or Another Round 2 - GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by MissNewEngland on: November 29, 2010 10:35:36 AM
Shilodisease crafted for my niece and she received her awesome package this weekend.  My niece is six and is loving all of these crafts.  Here is what Shilodisease created:

Handmade Jellyfish and Whale stuffies. These are so cute and so well made!
(I'm sure their cat is going to be all over those jellyfish 'tentacles'!)

A very cool, bright wallet made entirely out of duct tape!

A bright neon bag with my niece's favorite shows written in glitter

A colorful button bracelet.

Numbered bean bags for an educational game. My niece has been having a blast throwing these all over the house (So I hear!)

Shilodisease--Thank you so much for all of your hard work and creativity!  You were a great swap partner!!

My swap partner, Shilodisease received and posted a video.  It's kind of hard to see the items so I'm posting a few pics.  I crafted for her family (Dad, mom and sister).

For Mom:
Sex & The City pajama pants in her favorite color.  I hand painted the logo on the bottom of the front pant leg.  On the back, a martini glass illustration.  I also painted her name on a pair of sunglasses as an added item.

For Dad:
A personalized frosted glass Magnum Wine glass.
A personalized wine opener (corkscrew)

For Sister:
A Yeti Plushie (reconstructed from a super-soft teddy bear)  This was a miracle because I don't (and can't) sew.  I did my best!
Before:

After:

And a matching monster-fur covered mirror compact.

ShiloDisease's package is in transit and should be arriving to my niece soon.  She is super excited!  I will post pics as soon as it is here!

I just received my hoodie from my amazingly talented swap partner, Zuliblu.  She referenced some pics I sent and also used the colors that I love.  The hoodie is very unique and has an off-center zipper.  She also sent some really cool vintage rick rack and buttons.  Thank you so much for all of your hard work and creativity!  I KNOW that this sewing work took forever.  Here it is everyone!

WAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

There was just a knock at my door and it was my postman!  WOO HOO!
in his hands was Puggy's package from Kim aka "Kimberly_Star"
Wow, we were so excited we had to get right into it!
Puggy was sniffing as hard as he could and started scratching at the box.  Did he know it was for him???
Oh yeah, he thinks EVERYTHING is his!

Inside:

A WAYYYYYYY Cool Frosted Personalized Treat jar.

2 Fleece toys with matching fleece blanket.

Felted Pouch with poop-sacks inside for walking (I'm TOTALLY going to use this tonight for our walk AND put my keys in there too!)

A very neat PUGGY personalized Clipboard!

And how cool is this------A Hand-cut, oiled, assembled and decorated thick leather leash made by Kim's husband!!!
Amazing quality!  You can tell that this will last a lifetime and yes, it is long enough and i'm going to use that tonight too!

Puggy is over the moon with his new toys and is gnawing away on the braided one!  That seems to be his favorite right away.
I got some Pug action shots!

THANK YOU KIM!!!!!!  From both of us!!!!

6  Sculpted Art Tile in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by MissNewEngland on: July 24, 2008 08:41:16 AM
This is a sculpted tile that I made just for fun.  I polished the whole thing off with those pearl powders (in silver)   6" square ceramic tile.  I had made the circular centerpieces with the idea of using them for a necklace, but couldn't get the holes straight.....so I decided to make them part of the tile.
What do you think?

8  Re: Dog Swap sign-ups 7/11-7/21 sendouts 8/21 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by MissNewEngland on: July 15, 2008 10:46:00 AM
YAY!  I have been checking the swap boards for one I couldn't resist...and here it is!
Finally!
Just sent in my info and here is my little guy, Puggy:

He is SUCH a ham (loves the camera) and will play with any plushie toy around.
I brought a toy home as a gift one time and he saw it on the counter and started to cry as he looked up at it.
Unreal.

9  Finished Oil Painting-Venice Canal/Gondola in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by MissNewEngland on: July 07, 2008 10:58:20 AM
This oil painting took about one month for me to complete.  I really should paint more, but I only finish about one or two paintings a year.  A dear friend of mine has been looking for a specific painting of a Venice canal and gondola and she has no idea she'll be getting this in about 3 more days.
Just waiting for it to dry now

10  Re: Sweet/Yummy Treats Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by MissNewEngland on: February 13, 2008 09:12:04 PM
I just received my awesome package today from Cassasstrophie!

I have been anxiously awaiting it's arrival.  We had pm'd each other several times during the crafting period and all I knew was that I was getting something in the theme of blueberries.

Well.....here it all is!!  I am absolutely thrilled with everything!!!!!

This is the cutest handmade tan corduroy cupcake bag!  She did this adorable whimsical stitching which I absolutely adore!
I know this sounds silly but I find doing things like this extremely difficult.
It takes a lot to let go of yourself and just create something so fun and playful---so I really admire when someone hits this right on the creative mark!  It's wonderful!!!!
(See also the keychain......which is another perfect example!)
The handle is an embossed leather belt...so cool!
Inside is this great cupcake patterned material with a pocket inside.
The reverse side also has a blue stitched outer pocket.

Inside was a super-soft cupcake bad filled with cupcake goodies!
Cupcake notepads,
cupcake magnet
Cupcake necklace
cupcake scrapbook diecut.
and tart petite-four candles.

My pug went nutty over the cupcake bag!  I don't know what came over him but he wanted it really bad.  I was trying to photograph it and he kept pouncing on top of it and trying to take it away.
So.....I had to put him in another room when I took the pics.  When I let him out, he kept looking up at my desk, staring at it and crying.
Wow....he's like a little kid sometimes! Ha ha!
Does this bag say pug?  No, it has MY name on it!

WOW!  I couldn't believe these!
Blueberry knitted cupcake-- I can not fathom how difficult this was to make (and not only because I can NOT knit a thing!)
And BLUEBERRY POP TART CELL PHONE COZY!
Oh my goodness!  How unbelievable is that!?
Ok, so I am the only known human left on Earth who doesn't own a cell phone (I'm TRYING not to succumb!) but this thing is calling out to my iPod!
I love it SOOOOO much!

This great blueberry lollipop matches this very cool blueberry candycane-like purse holder!  It works perfectly too.....I tested it out with my new bag.  I am TOTALLY going to use all of these tomorrow when I go out.

And to go with all of my uber-cool blueberry/cupcake goodness will be:

This fantastic Blueberry Cheesecake, Pancakes & Pie Keychain.
Now, let me tell you.....I've been working with polymer clay for over 10 years and NEVER have I loved anything polymer clay so much as this keychain!  I am obsessed with it!  I LOVE it!
It is excellent.  It is already attached to my keys.

C---I can not possibly thank you enough for these awesome swap items.
I adore everything and am so happy with this swap!

THANK YOU!!!!    Cheesy Grin Cheesy
