2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Creative minds needed!! White-handled cutlery + sharpies on: September 05, 2007 02:01:03 PM
Hello all,

I'm getting ready to head off to Med school on the 15th and am staring to sort out all my essentials and am trying to customise everything.

I'm now onto cutlery and have a set which has plain, plastic white handles which I bought at the pound shop.

I've found that markers (sharpies) stay on the handles, but I have no idea what to draw/write on them!!!!

As well as sharpies, I have a lot of polymer clay.

Can anyone think of any designs etc. which would suit cutlery?!  Huh

So far, I have written "fork" on one of the spoon handles, and "<-- I'm with stupid" on one of of the knife handles.

Thank you all in advance for your help!!! Smiley

How about basing your ducks on cartoons?!
Daffy Duck...Donald Duck...Daisy Duck etc.
Hope this helps Cheesy

That's a good idea!

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Creative ideas for flying ducks?! on: November 03, 2006 08:58:47 AM
I was recently bought a "paint your own flying ducks" kit.

I want to do something more imaginative than the basic-old-kitsch ducks (brown and green)

I was thinking painting a plum on one (Duck in plum), Orange on another (Duck a la'orange) and some cucumber on the other (peking duck wraps!)

BUT.....

I get the feeling there's something more imaginative out there.. something smarter and more fun.

Ideas please!!!! (The ducks and porcelain and white- I have any type of medium to decorate them with!)

Thank you!

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: old coin + several hours = a ring on: September 27, 2006 01:20:11 PM
thats so cool ! id love to make one, but i dont have any of the tools though, and i dont think i can do anything to a coin because it has the queens face on it and its illegal Sad

I wouldn't worry about the illegal thing. Whilst it is techinically no-one really cares. Plus we even have those penny stretching machines so I'm sure you wouldn't get in trouble for it.

I heard those souvenier penny machines were illegal (Huh?)- then again, I've also heard stories that you can't take a picture/video of one of the crows at the Tower Of London... (I know it spells disaster if they all go, but the picture thing was new)

When the Queen dies- do they start printing new coins with the King's head on?!

Beautiful rings by the way- it'd be interesting to see someone do something similar with a 50p piece!

Bingo!!!!

http://www.netstreamlondon.com/

If we get 20 or so of us together I could give these guys a ring..

then we can also share weblinks / be online to other craftster members at the same time..

*ponders*

If I time it right, we *could* do it so that meetups are all linked together in one chat room (might be too ambitious?!)

(Reply with views please!!)
