Another one of my weird obsessions - floral fabric.  60s and 70s upholstery has some of the best patterns and colorways in my personal opinion.  I made this dress a couple years ago from some daisy fabric, with floral piping and white rose buttons.  I finally got some good pictures...



and I just made this skirt from watercolor floral upholstery and teal and black striped taffeta (the stripes are velvet!)

Made of all vintage fabric, the top is a decadent bejeweled rose print, with a black velvet bow.  The skirt is a golden taffeta with black velvet stripes.  I went for a more classic 60's victorian look this time, instead of the usual kitsch.  any thoughts?

I don't know if I'm going to be able to top these:  vintage star wars sheets gottta be turned into minis so you can bring chewbacca with you wherever you go.  My own pattern, with vintage fabric for the skirts. check em outtt
these first 2 are made from a pillowcase, the rest are made from sheets.

My horse tapestry has been transformed....like the virgin mary dresses, but different.  What do you guys think?  Comments and criticism greatly appreciated!

But, I can't make the same thing for too long, but I can't get away from the beauty of the button-up front.  so I've moved on to using vintage button-ups as a basis for the bodice, putting lace cutouts in the back, and using vintage prints for the skirts...what do you guys think?

Here's a couple new dresses I've made - all from recycled/vintage materials and my own patterns.  The first one is vintage upholstery, eyelet, brown cotton and fabric printed with a 1970s stuffed doll pattern...and the second is vintage florals, lace, with a hand quilted skirt.

About a year ago, my friend gave me a small piece of tapestry, which I finally decided to make a backpack out of.  It's got black corduroy on the sides, green cotton lining, a salvaged buckle and lace trim on the flap...I'll be making a lot more of these, so if you have any comments/criticism, it's welcome!

I've been gone for a while - busy sewing up a storm and not having computer access....but here's my most recent creation, a dress made out of a Jesus tapestry I found at a thrift store...the bottom band is burgundy velvet with lace trim, and the tie in the back is polka dotted cotton...comments/criticism?
