1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Devilish Free pattern link on: October 01, 2010 08:14:16 PM
I actually wrote up this pattern last year but by the time I finished all the bits, it was Oct. 31st. Way to late to post it. So I decided to chuck the pattern in my massive pile of patterns and type it up later.

I noticed that Halloween was coming around again so I dug out the pattern and took a look at it. After a year, I examined it with fresh eyes and decided I wasn't happy with it so I rewrote a few parts. Then while I clicked away at my keyboard, I realized I had no idea what some of my chicken scratches were saying to me, Great.... So I had to make that part again so I could follow what I what I had written down.

I have learned a lesson from this, either type patterns right away or clear up my handwriting.

So here we go.... Devilish!!!! Here is the Link http://darncatcrochet.blogspot.com/2010/10/devilish-free-pattern.html

The Headband can be made 2 ways (I tried both) You can crochet the headband or use some felt, glue and a plastic headband.
The Pitchfork isn't soft, it has a shaped hanger inside for stability. The Tail has a little bit that you can pin to the band of your pants or skirt.

The size you see is universal it can be for a child or for us crazy adults!!!

Enjoy!!!

4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Cheeky Cherub (3 large pics) on: March 19, 2008 11:00:08 PM
I figured while I was photographing D.C's Bag I would finally get around to taking a picture of my newest toy. I made it for Valentines day but never got around to taking pictures of it.
I used the button jointing system and the loincloth is removable. I cheated and used puff paint for the smile.

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / D.C's Day Bag on: March 18, 2008 08:50:18 PM
Here is the bag that I worked on while my kitty D.C was at the Vet's office. Working on it kept me sane. That's why it's named after her.
The bag is made using Tunisian stitches and Bernat yarn. I have lined it with a fall fabric but the pictures didn't come out well so I won't post them.

6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Squirrely & Acorn Bag (Image heavy, 5 large pics) on: December 06, 2007 10:07:49 PM
Look who I found rummaging around the lawn this morning. They must be getting the last acorns stored for winter.

The bag fits the squirrel with room to spare. Comments Welcome!!!
7  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Question about Cotton on: December 05, 2007 11:08:09 PM
Hiya,
I am a new spinner and I was poking around Ebay when I saw this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=360002078091&Category=36601&_trksid=p3907.m29

I was wondering, can you really spin that? And about how hard to you think it would be? Plus what is the usual stable length of cotton?

Thanks All!!
8  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Lookie What hubby got me!! on: November 11, 2007 08:04:59 PM
I am so excited!!! hubby got this for my birthday/anniversary present!! I had been bugging him to build me a wheel because I thought I just couldn't afford one. Then I found this one. He told me if I used it, he would make it my gift. Plus it was way easier and faster than building one!
It was $150 3 hours away. With the cost of gas it came up to $195, way less than buying new.
When we got there the lady who was selling it gave me the carders for free!!

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Copyright Infringement, update on 1st post on: October 23, 2007 08:47:05 PM
update
Looks like the site has done the right thing and removed the offending threads. Yeah us! I have left the main website address up so that you what site we're discussing

It seems lately I keep finding the infringers.
To my sorrow I have found a place that has literally thousands of copyrighted patterns posted on their site, myself included.

There is a upside tho, I did see several posts saying they had been removed at the request of the copright holder.

Here is the link to the site
http:// club. osinka. ru It's in Russian.

If you see something that belongs to you drop them a note and request it be removed. If you see something that belongs to someone you know, drop them a note to tell them about it.

I am not posting this to start trouble, just letting everyone know about this wholesale theft of our work!

I saw this at CrochetVille. Unfortunately I must report yet again to you all of another person selling other people's patterns.

So disappointing what this person is doing. Some of the patterns are freely offered by people who took the time to figure out how to make them.
