1  Devilish Free pattern link in Crochet: Completed Projects by darncat on: October 01, 2010 08:14:16 PM
I actually wrote up this pattern last year but by the time I finished all the bits, it was Oct. 31st. Way to late to post it. So I decided to chuck the pattern in my massive pile of patterns and type it up later.

I noticed that Halloween was coming around again so I dug out the pattern and took a look at it. After a year, I examined it with fresh eyes and decided I wasn't happy with it so I rewrote a few parts. Then while I clicked away at my keyboard, I realized I had no idea what some of my chicken scratches were saying to me, Great.... So I had to make that part again so I could follow what I what I had written down.

I have learned a lesson from this, either type patterns right away or clear up my handwriting.

So here we go.... Devilish!!!! Here is the Link http://darncatcrochet.blogspot.com/2010/10/devilish-free-pattern.html

The Headband can be made 2 ways (I tried both) You can crochet the headband or use some felt, glue and a plastic headband.
The Pitchfork isn't soft, it has a shaped hanger inside for stability. The Tail has a little bit that you can pin to the band of your pants or skirt.

The size you see is universal it can be for a child or for us crazy adults!!!

Enjoy!!!

3  Re: Brushing yarn? in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by darncat on: July 19, 2008 06:41:43 PM
Does regular worsted weight yarn work?

I assume you mean Acyrlic yarn, if so yes it does work just as well. Here is pic of one of my patterns made with good old fashined Red Heart yarn

4  Cheeky Cherub (3 large pics) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by darncat on: March 19, 2008 11:00:08 PM
I figured while I was photographing D.C's Bag I would finally get around to taking a picture of my newest toy. I made it for Valentines day but never got around to taking pictures of it.
I used the button jointing system and the loincloth is removable. I cheated and used puff paint for the smile.

5  D.C's Day Bag in Crochet: Completed Projects by darncat on: March 18, 2008 08:50:18 PM
Here is the bag that I worked on while my kitty D.C was at the Vet's office. Working on it kept me sane. That's why it's named after her.
The bag is made using Tunisian stitches and Bernat yarn. I have lined it with a fall fabric but the pictures didn't come out well so I won't post them.

Look who I found rummaging around the lawn this morning. They must be getting the last acorns stored for winter.

The bag fits the squirrel with room to spare. Comments Welcome!!!

7  Lookie What hubby got me!! in Spinning: Completed Projects by darncat on: November 11, 2007 08:04:59 PM
I am so excited!!! hubby got this for my birthday/anniversary present!! I had been bugging him to build me a wheel because I thought I just couldn't afford one. Then I found this one. He told me if I used it, he would make it my gift. Plus it was way easier and faster than building one!
It was $150 3 hours away. With the cost of gas it came up to $195, way less than buying new.
When we got there the lady who was selling it gave me the carders for free!!

10  Plush Menagerie in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by darncat on: October 08, 2007 11:41:06 AM
It seems that I'm attracting a massive amount of animals to my houseThis first little guy just appeared one day waiting with the rest of the cats for food.
I have a sneaky suspicion that the lion told the other two where they could get a free snack because within a few days the bunny hopped up onto the porch and the bear climbed down from the tree to wait with the rest for a fulfilling breakfast and dinner.
