2  Texas / Texas: Coastal / Re: Houston on: August 09, 2006 06:17:47 PM
Houston here as well! For those of you familiar with the Sandollar thrift store chain, they used to sell bales of clothing for about 5-10$ They are huge! I don't know if they still do this, but it is something to look out for.

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: super easy t-shirt cushions!!! on: August 04, 2006 06:59:52 AM
I felt really bad pulling the stuffing out of all the toys! But at least they get to live a second reincarnation. Most of them would probably died at the hands of a dog or something similar anyway.
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Toe sock Cthulhu (img heavy) on: July 21, 2006 05:01:08 PM
WOW I love Cthulhu! I just finished getting a massive Cthulhu tattoo...I know it's sad. Where did you get the socks from?
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / super easy t-shirt cushions!!! on: July 21, 2006 04:52:04 PM
I made these cushions out of old t-shirts from the thrift store. I used stuffing from various giant thrift-store stuff toys- much cheaper than buying it! These cushions probably won't last long, but they are fun while they do. They don't take very long, the longest bit is putting all the stuffing in through that small hole.

9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: my first post- Batman Stool- many images on: July 21, 2006 05:05:52 AM
I used about 6, but not the whole thing of each one. i was very selective about which parts I used. Each comic cell had to have Batman in it and it had to be rectangular. I messed with too many different shapes on the Playboy one, which made it alot more difficult.

The playboy one took me a few weeks as I only did a little at a time. I love Batman LOADS so when I got started it only took about 3 hours to do that one.
