I think they are beautiful! I like how raw they are as sketches but still very detailed and proportionate. Nice work!

I'm no good at sewing, painting or stitching but I'm pretty handy with the Paint Shop Pro so I whipped up some graphics and printed out some iron on transfers to make up my own Twilight shirt for the movie opening on the 21st. I've got my advanced tickets.  Grin

No face because I was in no shape to be photographed after a long Sunday of crafting and cleaning. Tongue

Yes, I'm a 28 year old married, mommy Twilighter and I am not ashamed!  Cheesy
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Silly, silly birthday gift... on: November 08, 2008 04:22:27 PM
This is super fun! You could throw in some balloons they can blow up and some crepe paper streamers so they can decorate with them.

Great idea and very cute!
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Faux Butterfly Shadow Boxes on: October 20, 2008 06:55:56 PM
I stuck them to paper, cut them out and gently bent them in half so the wings would stick up from the background and then I hot glued the middle of the butterflies to the spots where I wanted them to be.

They are 3D but hard to see in the pictures.

I'd love to see pictures when you're finished! I'm sure they'll come out beautifully.

Be my guest! It's super easy to do. I picked all of the lovely papers out the scrapbook section of Hobby Lobby. A little bit of gluing, cutting and tearing and viola! Smiley

Thanks for the compliments. Cheesy
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Faux Butterfly Shadow Boxes on: October 18, 2008 09:52:12 AM
I saw paper butterfly shadow boxes at Target a few weeks ago and decided to recreate them myself. I found the butterfly stickers at the Dollar Store and everything else came from Hobby Lobby. I was even lucky enough to find the shadow box frames on sale for 50% off.  Smiley

For a total of about $24 I was able to make two for my bedroom. They're not perfect, a little uneven in places but I love them. They remind me of the genuine butterfly shadow boxes my mom had when I was a kid. I've looked into buying real ones but they are incredibly expensive so the fake ones are good enough for me. Grin
